Synopsis
[edit]It did never take place in the history of India before 2023, what it happened in Manipur at the eastern Indo-Myanmar border of India. Bureaucracy, external aggression and narco-terrorism hit the country in the disguise of a dramatized communal conflict. Hundreds of innocents died, more than 8000 houses set ablaze, more than 60,000 Indians became refugees inside India. As nowhere in the world, the Meitei community of Manipur adopted a practice since 1762, that if the dead body of a Manipuri Meitei is not found, the branches and leaves of 'Pangong Plant' (Palash) will be used for the last rites in lieu of the body. What is the priority to a mother performing the last rites of her son in this way or getting ready to fight back?
