Adeel Rizki (Urdu: عدیل رزکی) is a Pakistani football manager who manages the Pakistan women's national football team.[citation needed]
Career
[edit]Rizki obtained a UEFA B Licence before obtaining a UEFA A License and started his managerial career with Pakistanis side Karachi United.[citation needed] Following his stint there, he worked for the youth academies of various Canadian sides. In 2022, he was appointed manager of the Pakistan women's national football team. However, the Pakistan Football Federation was accused of nepotism regarding his appintment.[1]
While managing the team, Pakistani news website ProPakistani wrote that he "under the leadership of Rizki, the team has punched above their weight without a league and infrastructure, achieving 4 victories and 2 draws from 13 matches against sides that were much higher in ranking... achieved improvement in world rankings".[2] On the other hand, he was regarded to have had a short temper and displayed preferential treatment to Pakistani diaspora players.[3] On the other hand, As of 2024, he managed them at the 2022 SAFF Women's Championship and the 2024 SAFF Women's Championship but they were unable to reach the knockout stages on both occasions.[citation needed]
