Acacia Forgot is the stage name of Tyler Heavner (born October 9, 1996),[1][2] an American drag performer and musician competing on the upcoming seventeenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race.
Early life and education
[edit]Heavner was born in raised in a Minnesota-originating musical family in San Jose, California.[3] After being homeschooled, they studied music therapy at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota.[4] After finishing her degree, she worked at Mount Sinai Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit in Manhattan, New York as a music therapist.[3]
Career

Acacia Forgot's first appearance in drag was on Halloween 2017, while she was attending college. A fellow queen, Mia Star, subsequently helped her in acquiring bookings for performances in nearby cities. Acacia Forgot later moved to New York City, where she lived for four years and met her partner, and then relocated to Los Angeles.[7][6] Her drag name is a pun on the phrase "in case you forgot", which was conceived during a morning jog. Her first experience with crossdressing was at a young age, dancing in her room to Cher while wearing a "belted XX-large shirt". She was further inspired to pursue drag by idolizing musicians such as Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj.[7]
