Abigail Parry

Dr. Abigail Parry is a contemporary British poet, essayist, and translator who lectures at Cardiff University.[1] Her first collection, Jinx, (Bloodaxe Books, 2018) deals in trickery, gameplay, masks and costume, and was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection and the Seamus Heaney Prize for Best First Collection.[2] Her second collection, I Think We’re Alone Now, (Bloodaxe Books, 2023) investigates the idea of intimacy and was shortlisted for the 2023 T.S. Eliot Prize and for the English-language Poetry Award 2024. [3]
