2025 Super Formula Championship
The 2025 Japanese Super Formula Championship is scheduled to be the fifty-third season of premier Japanese open-wheel motor racing, and the twelfth under the moniker of Super Formula. The season will start in March at Suzuka Circuit and is due to be contested over eight race weekends, ending in November at Suzuka. The 2025 season will mark the return of an overseas race for the first time since 2004.[1]
Race calendar
[edit]The provisional calendar was announced on 1 August 2024.[1] The series plans a return to racing abroad for the first time since 2004, when it raced at Sepang International Circuit. Round 4 is scheduled to be held in South Korea, the first time Super Formula will race in the country.[2] On 24 August 2024, managing body JRP announced changes to the calendar. The series coonfirmed the Korean race to be held at Inje Speedium in Gangwon, South Korea. The series will also expand to 13 races, with all rounds except Autopolis, Inje Speedium, and Sportsland SUGO scheduled to be double-header weekends.[3]
