They defeated Pepperdine in the First Round, seventh-seed South Carolina in the Second Round, and sixth-seed Mississippi State in the Round of 16 to reach the Quarterfinals. There they defeated fifth-seed Nebraska in overtime to advance to the College Cup. In the Semifinals they defeated BYU 2–1 to reach the final.
