The 2024 Ondo State gubernatorial election occurred on November 21, 2024. Incumbent APC governor Lucky Ayedatiwa went head to head with PDP Agboola Ajayi, LP Olorunfemi Ayodele and 17 other party candidates[1].
Lucky Ayedatiwa of the APC was the former deputy governor who became the governor after the death of the former governor; Rotimi Akerodolu candidate[2].
Agboola Ajayi of the PDP was the former ZlP gubernatorial candidate in the 2020 Ondo election[3].
Electoral system[edit]
The Governor of Ondo State is elected using the plurality voting system.
