The 2024–25 New Mexico Lobos men's basketball team will represent the University of New Mexico during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They will be led by fourth-year head coach Richard Pitino, and will play their home games at The Pit in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as members of the Mountain West Conference.
Previous season
[edit]The Lobos finished the 2023–24 season 26–10, 10–8 in Mountain West play to finish in a tie for sixth place. As the No. 6 seed in the Mountain West tournament, they beat Air Force in the first round,[1] Boise State in the quarterfinals,[2] Colorado State in the semifinals,[3] and San Diego State in the championship to clinch the NCAA tournament.[4] As the No. 11 seed in the West Region, they lost to Clemson in the first round.[5]
