[edit]- July 25 – Nguyễn Trường Tô was expelled from the Communist Party of Vietnam for having "unhealthy relationship" with a prostitute.[1]
- August 4 – Phạm Thanh Bình was arrested because Vinashin owed 86 trillion đồng.[2][3]
- August 19 – Ngô Bảo Châu won the Fields Medal, becoming the first Vietnamese to win this medal.[4]
- October 1–10 – Millennial Anniversary of Hanoi.[5]
- October – Dozens of people died from floods in 2010 Central Vietnam flood .[6]
