The 1978 Morgan State Bears football team represented Morgan State University as a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) during the 1978 NCAA Division I-AA football season. Led by first-year head coach Clarence Thomas, the Bears compiled an overall record of 4–6–1, and a mark of 2–3–1 in conference play, and finished fourth in the MEAC.
