The 1946 Xavier Gold Rush football team represented Xavier University of Louisiana as a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) during the 1946 college football season. Led by head coach Ted A. Wright in his 12th and final season as head coach, the Gold Rush compiled a 4–2 record and outscored opponents by a total of 96 to 77.[1] They were ranked in a tie for No. 12 among the nation's black college football teams according to the Pittsburgh Courier and its Dickinson Rating System.[2]
