Petit Gâteau (in French, small cake; plural: Petits Gâteaux) is dessert composed of a small chocolate cake with crunchy rind and mellow filling that served hot with vanilla ice cream in a plate.

A french creation, the dessert has popularized in New York restaurants in the 90s. Nowadays variations of the cake/ice cream flavors have come to include fruit-based flavors and even alcoholic bevarages, such as whisky.
