PA 739

Hello-how old are you because i've been going to Dingmans Ferry since i was 1 year old.I am 15 now. I remember its terminus being on the bridge not 209.Any chance you agree?HurricaneCraze32 23:32, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm 23 and I lived in Dingman Twp. from 1992 to 2005. I remember the "END 739" sign being right at the bridge, with the END quadrant route sign that's there now.

Hello, and thank you for the compliments regarding the new routebox. I created the SVGs using a nifty graphics program called Inkscape, an excellent program that can generate PNGs and SVGs to a professional level. The best part, however, is that Inkscape is free! =)

For the shield specs, I used the state shield measurements given in the 2003 MUTCD for the shield rounding, the length/width and the number height, and pictures of actual PA shields to approximate the size of the keystone and the black border around it, as well as the font to use for each shield (as it appears that PennDOT uses Series C for most 2- and 3-digit shields and Series E for most 1-digit shields.

There are many advantages of using an SVG over a GIF. The main one is that an SVG can be reduced to microscopic levels and still be remarkably clear due to the composition of the image, which allows for accurate scaling (hence the name Scaleable Vector Graphics). Also, SVGs are now considered to be the, pardon the cliché, "latest and greatest" image format out there. Also, from what I've heard, Wikipedia is beginning to lean toward making SVGs the preferred image format. --TMF T - C 04:44, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The EU should be mentioned next to the country; like country : Spain / EU Please support the enhancement in these templates and argue for the innovation if you want to. Would be great.

Speedy deletion of Template:User umass boston

A tag has been placed on Template:User umass boston requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Mtn creek logo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Mtn creek logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Thank you for uploading images/media to Wikipedia! There is, however, another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In future, please upload media there instead (see m:Help:Unified login). That way, all of the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view images you have previously uploaded by going to your user contributions on the left and choosing the 'image' namespace from the drop down box). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. NYS&W

No; the NYS&W Railroad is from 1881, and the redirect is in Category:Railway companies established in 1881. The NYS&W Railway is much newer. I know it began operations in 1980, but I'm not sure if it was incorporated in 1980 or slightly earlier. --NE2 19:39, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
