Notification of automated file description generation
[edit]Your upload of File:Buchtelspring.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.
This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Disambiguation link notification for March 31
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mahallebi, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Lebanese and Turkish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of List of miscellaneous U.S. public areas
[edit]The article List of miscellaneous U.S. public areas has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unclear what the definition of "miscellaneous U.S. public areas" is, or whether a list of such can ever be complete or encyclopedic.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. NorthBySouthBaranof (talk) 09:50, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Edits to Isoetes appalachiana
[edit]I've noticed that you've twice added Ohio to the distribution of Isoetes appalachiana. I've reverted your edits on both occasions because that information is not in the existing references, and you didn't add additional references. If you have a reference to support your edits, please add it along with your edits next time. Check out Wikipedia:Verifiability for more on the policy if you'd like. Thanks. DJLayton4 (talk) 04:08, 20 December 2015 (UTC)
- My apologies; that was an error due to the way that information was relayed to me. There were new discoveries of I. engelmannii in southeast Ohio, and I understood it to be I. appalachiana. jaknouse (talk) 04:09, 24 February 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Hertz1888. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Homophone, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. I honestly don't understand. This is an example of culture that has been handed down through generations. I'll try to find a reference, but would you have a reference for some current song parodies? They may not exist. jaknouse (talk)
Kidwell Covered Bridge
[edit]Hi there, I see you have been a long-time contributor but I don't recall interacting with you before. Thank you for your contributions of content included in List of covered bridges in Ohio, which was partly developed by merger from the former List of covered bridges in southeast Ohio. It happens that I am on a tear to start separate articles about a bunch of Ohio covered bridges, at least the ones listed on the National Register of Historic Places, per wt:NRHP#Covered bridges. Anyhow, I have rarely used the "wikiblame" tool, but I find that in particular you contributed info about Kidwell Covered Bridge (new article, just split by me from the Ohio list-article) in this edit to the original southeast Ohio list-article. Hey, I wonder if you could add anything now to the current Kidwell Covered Bridge article. I believe you that info about a temporary closure was provided by the county -- I am assuming by your personal communication with someone there. It would be nice though if you could compose a footnote reference to that with any particulars such as the approximate date. If you edit the Kidwell Covered Bridge article with whatever you can recollect, I would try to revise the List of covered bridges article accordingly, if you don't care to do so yourself. Whether you can help directly now or not, anyhow, thank you for your past contributions. Cheers, --Doncram (talk) 03:58, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Cnemidaria
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:Cnemidaria indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. ✗plicit 12:39, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
