This user is no longer very active on Wikipedia.

This userpage hasn't been changed in 10 years. I'm not quite the same person I was then, and I cringe when I read some of my old edits. But in the interest of transparency I've left it as is.

Also, obviously I'm not the person to look to for assistance, if I edit WP once a year or less.

Mars, before it became overrun with tourists.

Hi, I'm kotra. I edit Wikipedia.
I apologize to the project and to myself for allowing this flaw in my personality to continue.

I do computer stuff for money, and music stuff and writing stuff for not money. I am a Human.

I live in Portland, Oregon, but I've lived in San Jose, California and Norman, Oklahoma.

Bias

[edit]

If your point of view is so poorly-received that you have to slant Wikipedia to promote it, your point of view is only going to get less respect. It doesn't matter how stealthy you are, biases in Wikipedia are always identified, made public, and removed, given enough time. Therefore, on Wikipedia it's in everyone's own best interest to let verifiability and neutral point of view be our only biases. Wikipedia's neutrality policy not only protects Wikipedia's integrity, but also yours.

So. If you see me showing any bias in my edits, I encourage you to let me know.

Need help?

[edit]

If you need help editing Wikipedia, understanding Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, or resolving an editing dispute, just leave me a message on my talk page and I will be happy to assist you as best I can, time permitting. If I can't help you, I can point you to others who can. One great place is the help desk; I've used it, it's good.

The community has given me access to administrator tools.

The Romans took 81 years to revert the Vandals. It takes Wikipedia 4 minutes.
