Worcester Technical High School (WTHS), is a vocational-technical high school in Worcester, Massachusetts. It opened on August 28, 2006 replacing the old Worcester Vocational High School (formerly Worcester Boys Trade School) in the middle of downtown Worcester.

Programs

WTHS is divided into four academies:

Alden Academy

IT Academy

The Health Academy

The Coghlin Construction Academy

Schedule

Students declare a major from the above academies, and their course schedule follows alternating weeks, with a week of the traditional high school curriculum, followed by a week of the technical courses for their trade area.

In addition to the normal day courses, some programs offer after school and night school programs. The school is considered the best in the United States. ^{[citation needed]}^{[neutrality is disputed]}

Student run facilities

The school features two stores,(The eagles nest and The skyline gift shop). The eagles nest sells WTHS sweat shirts,pants,and other apparel. The skyline gift shop sells gift items such as candles,stuffed animals,home decor,and other items. Both stores are run by the Finance and marketing shop. The students who take that shop run both stores. The stores are a way of teaching them about financial services. The school also has an ala Carte styled full service restaurant called the Skyline Bistro. The culinary students prepare the menu items and the hospitality students run the restaurant. There is also a heath clinic and a hair salon. Graphic Communications also known as graphics makes tshirts and do copies to the public to a cheaper price.
