William Morrill Pingry was born in [[Salisbury, New Hampshire]] on May 28, 1806. In 1841 Pingry moved to [[Windsor County, Vermont|Windsor County]], living first in [[Springfield, Vermont|Springfield]] and later in [[Perkinsville, Vermont|Perkinsville]]. He served as Assistant Judge in both [[Washington County, Vermont|Washington]] and Windsor Counties.
