Important WikiProject Notice

[edit]

I just created a list of pterosaur-bearing stratigraphic units. Dgrootmyers (talk) 06:36, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The description column is a little...lacking. Bob the WikipediaN (talkcontribs) 15:32, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I'll fill that in later. Dgrootmyers (talk) 17:34, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What might be useful.....

[edit]

@FunkMonk: what might be useful is converting this dead wikiproject to a taskforce. The main reason for doing so is to subclassify paleontology articles to subunits folks might be interested in - and mainly to map out an assessment grid for the topic area - like Wikipedia:WikiProject_U.S._Roads/Michigan#Assessment at the Michigan task force of wikiproject roads. That way on one page someone can get an overview of the development of pterosaur pages, much like on dino pages. Whether it is an active taskforce or not is irrelevant, but the overview would be good I think. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 22:10, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good to me; for me, it is just important that discussion is somehow centralised, because it is unlikely that most editors will follow the talk pages of many different palaeo sub-projects. FunkMonk (talk) 22:23, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Agree - I think some link to various task forces is good. Will make sure I construct something searchable and navigable. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 02:58, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Looking good! If we are ever to resurrect the "sea monsters" project as a task-force, I think we would have to find another name... The old name was almost laughably bad. FunkMonk (talk) 02:06, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Portal for deletion?

[edit]

See Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Portal:Pterosaurs. --Nessie (talk) 14:16, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please join the discussion on the proposed merge from Template:WikiProject Pterosaurs to Template:WikiProject Palaeontology. --Nessie (talk) 13:52, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request for information on WP1.0 web tool

[edit]

Hello and greetings from the maintainers of the WP 1.0 Bot! As you may or may not know, we are currently involved in an overhaul of the bot, in order to make it more modern and maintainable. As part of this process, we will be rewriting the web tool that is part of the project. You might have noticed this tool if you click through the links on the project assessment summary tables.

We'd like to collect information on how the current tool is used by....you! How do you yourself and the other maintainers of your project use the web tool? Which of its features do you need? How frequently do you use these features? And what features is the tool missing that would be useful to you? We have collected all of these questions at this Google form where you can leave your response. Walkerma (talk) 04:24, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

First annual Tree of Life Decemberween contest

[edit]

After all the fun with the Spooky Species Contest last month, there's a new contest for the (Northern hemisphere's) Winter holidays at Wikipedia:WikiProject Tree of Life/Contest. It's not just Christmas, but anything festive from December-ish. Feel free to add some ideas to the Festive taxa list and enter early and often. --Nessie (talk) 17:51, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
