Done as again, page was accumulating to 61kb. I moved the page this time, doing it the "right way", so no quibbles. I'll leave notes about anything that was ongoing so we don't drop the ball, and both archives have been logged above. Keep up the fab work, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 18:32, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Let's not do a speculative article if we can at all avoid it. Poké Ball needs a lot of love, Max (Pokémon) needs work despite the presence of WP:PAC2. and all of the glitches still need to be collapsed into a single article. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 00:19, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
WHAT?! If the glitches are merged, we need to transwiki the original articles somewhere else. Okay, so they don't belong in an encyclopedia, but they're very informative for people who want to exploit the glitches. And they're much better than their Bulbapedia counterparts. No, for the last time. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 07:10, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They're important. Official sites such as Pokémon.com do not provide specific information as it is not to 'spoil' the game they created. If one is looking for specific information, he needs a fansite as sites like Pokémon.com don't provide certain information.XenoNeon (converse) 19:40, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use image

A new speedy deletion tag has been introduced, allowing all images without fair use rationales to be deleted speedily, as in without IfD. Since images can't be un-deleted, it would only take one user to wipe out nearly all of our images, so we need to tag them all. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 15:35, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How to adding a Fair Use Rationale (FUR)

  • Go to an image's page and edit the Liscencing section.
  • Add the following, filling in the relevant notes -

== Fair Use Rationale for Article that the Image Appears in ==

I, User:Example, believe this image should be categorized under fair use in the above mentioned article because -

  1. It is low resolution.
  2. It does not limit the copyright owners rights to sell the game.
  3. Depicts subject discussed in article.
  4. The photo is only being used for informational purposes.

Sign with 4 tildes.

All Pokémon images can be found at Category:Pokémon images.

Should we make a template for this? Something similar to the pokérefs, like {{pokeimage|Torchic|HighwayCello}}? Cheers, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 15:43, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Right, I've figured out what to do and made the template for fair use-art images. Do as follows.
    • Go to the image page and add {{subst:pokefair}} ** Place a "|" after "fair" and put the name of the article that the picture appears in ** Place a "|" after the name of the article and put your full user name ** Add 4 tildes after closing the brackets ** You should end up with something similar to this - <nowiki>{{subst:pokefair|Torchic|HighwayCello}} ~~~~
    • Save the page.
You should end with something that looks like this -

== Fair Use Rationale for Torchic ==

I, HighwayCello, believe this image should be categorized under fair use in the above mentioned article because -

  1. It is low resolution.
  2. It does not limit the copyright owners rights to sell the game.
  3. Depicts subject discussed in article.
  4. The photo is only being used for informational purposes. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 17:52, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Now, tag away. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 17:52, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'll help since its the only thing I have to do Pokesaur 19:21, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thats the first page of the category done, there was a few orphaned images which may get deleted, but I think the rest are all tagged with fair use rationales. Pokesaur 19:41, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Individual Pokémon Pages and Template:Pokerefs

It suddenly has come to my attention that several, if not all, of the individual pages for Pokémon have been using the complicated Pokerefs template. I recently fixed the pages for Dragonair and Dragonite, but there is no way that a single person can fix all of these pages. The template is as follows:

{{subst:pokerefs|{{{1}}}|{{{2}}}|{{{3}}}|{{{4}}}}}

Where {{{1}}} is the first letter of the name of the Pokémon capitalized (eg: P for Pikachu), {{{2}}} is the first letter of the name in lower case (eg: p for Pikachu), {{{3}}} is the rest of the name in lower case (eg: ikachu for Pikachu), and {{{4}}} is the number in the National Pokédex (eg: 025 for Pikachu).

If one were to edit the Pikachu page to fix the template, it would look like such when editing the page:

{{subst:pokerefs|P|p|ikachu|025}}

As I said, this is more than one Wikipedian can do on his own, and I thought it was best to introduce this to the PCP community. Ryulong 19:48, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We use it... Highway Rainbow Sneakers 20:37, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I can see that it is used, but on the pages I looked through today it wasn't being used right. I see that some pages have it set up correctly, but there are still others that lack the implimentation of the subst of the Template. Ryulong 21:06, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It’s not the subst that’s important, though that would certainly help keep it from being accidentally editted. The most important thing, though, is that the parameters be filled in. -- WikidSmaht (talk) 23:16, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'll easily help, I noticed it wasn't substeded on every article yet. See Special:Wahtlinkshere/Template:Pokerefs for a list of pages I Love Minun (talk) 15:53, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
ILM misspelled Special:Whatlinkshere/Template:Pokerefs, and I'm unsure if I'm allowed to correct a spelling mistake in somebody else's message, so I put it here. Anyway, I never really noticed this heading, but now I will go start adding this onto the pages. I'll start with Bulbasaur and work my way down the Pokédex by National dex number. PCEevee talk 16:04, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
?It just occurred to me that the what links here page is only for templates that do not have the "subst:" before them. The templates that have the "subst:" (which is what we should be using) would not show up on that page, so checking "what links here" would be as useless as a Splash attack. PCEevee talk 16:17, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I must have confused myself about 133 times with this, but I think I understand it now. I apologize for any inconvienience this may have caused... PCEevee talk 19:35, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

About shipping

A paragraph from May (Pokémon):

It is believed that May might have a crush on Ash. This is probably because they are not only the same age(15 to 16), but because May has always been very supportive of Ash and she has always been there for him. For example, in the episode where Ash challenged Norman for a Gym Badge, May was cheering for Ash more than for her own father. Ash and May may begin a romantic relationship in seasons 8, 9, or 10(It has been hinted several times in the 7th season).

Does anyone mind if I delete this and state May is 11 years old now? I just thought I'd put this up, as May's Talk Page has recently taken to looking suspiciously similar to a Shipping Forum. Admin Celestianpower , you need to look over the Talk Page once and shut the stupid shippers up. Cheers, The Raven's Apprentice (Call) 10:56, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is anyone listening?? Now someone's even added a "Romantic Relationships" section to Ash Ketchum. That does it, I'm going on an Edit Crusade against shipping. (Trumpets blare.) For truth, for justice, for verifiability... The Raven's Apprentice (Call) 07:39, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Trainer's Ages

A paragraph from Ash Ketchum:
"Ash's current age is debatable. Things that characters say in from the show and even a promo have led the majority fans to believe that Ash is currently 15 years of age in the U.S.; 16 years of age in Japan. But, in Eruope he is believed to be 17 years of age and 18 years of age in Canada."
Despite the flames I received, any amateur can see this doesn't make sense. Even if you would say Ash was 15 in the U.S.A. and 16 in Japan (which there is absolutely zero proof to either of those claims), the U.S. and Canada dub is the same, meaning Ash would be the same age in those two countries at least.
Then as for May, every 5 minutes it gets edited to nonsense like:
"May says she's 10. Ash, on the other hand, would probably be around 15 or 16 years of age. Therefore, it's evident that Ash and May may not be the same age. However, May might have missaid her own age, probably because she was thinking of her little brother, Max, who would get his Pokémon licence at that age. But this is yet to be clarified, since May should have gotten her Pokémon long ago if she's the same age as Ash."
But supposedly "That was NOT vandalism" and "your deductions are [not] needed in an encyclopedic article AT ALL." Brock0820 23:22, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Right, time doesn't really pass in the Pokémon anime (according to Pokémon.com), so Ash is stil 10, and May is still 10, the age they first appeared in the show. If you go by the tournaments, Ash would be around 13/14 (depends how ahead you are on the show) since he's been in the Indigo, Orange Island, Johto and Hoenn tournaments, which are annual. Regardless I've yet to see Tony Blair discuss Britain's stanse on it. Since May has appeared in one tournament (Grand Festival), she should be around 11/12 (depending on how you ahead you are with the anime). But officially, they don't age. Cheers, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 18:03, 23 May 2006 (UTC) 07:10, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Does it still say that on Pokemon.com? Where? I know it used to. They DO offically age in Japan. -- WikidSmaht (talk) 20:11, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I read it on the Ash Ketchum talk page. Do you have anything thoughts about the characters ages? I'm guessing Max is about eightish, if he was nine, he would probably have turned ten somewhere in the Hoenn series and kept Ralts or Mightyena or Jirachi or Shuppet. Yeah, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 20:37, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why bother mentioning specific ages at all? There are conflicting sources (none of which are the primary source), the ages never come up but in a general way (e.g. Ash is clearly a youth, Brock is clearly an adult, etc.), and it's going to be a never-ending edit war to include them.

How do the articles benefit from including this trivia? - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 20:52, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Content from Bulbapedia

Just a friendly reminder people. Please do not use articles from Bulbagarden's Bulbapedia as the basis for your articles. I'm sad to say that we've recently caught someone lifting our episode pages (and possibly others, we're going to have to go through their edit history in detail), and I've had reports it has happened on other occasions as well with other pages/users. We've managed to not step on each others toes up until now, and I'd like to keep it that way, so it'd be appreciated if you could all just be that extra little bit careful, and check each other's work, just to make sure we don't get any further situations like this. Likewise, if you've heard any reports of Wikipedia articles being copied onto Bulbapedia, please inform either myself, Zhen Lin or evkl, and we'll correct the offending page as soon as possible. -- Archaic, Bulbagarden.net Webmaster, a.k.a. It's just been moved to WikiKnowledge, right? So why can't we link to the WikiKnowledge Pokédex now?? The Raven's Apprentice (Call) 12:56, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's my website, so it's not appropriate for me to change the link (although I did do it on Sonic 3 and some other pages). So instead I simply removed it. However there is nothing to stop other people from changing it if they want. Gerard Foley 15:46, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I thought game-related content from Wikibooks was being moved to StrategyWiki? Why did the Pokédex go to WikiKnowledge instead?

Because I took it, that's why. I moved the game guides I wrote to my own site such as b:Sonic the Hedgehog 3, b:Sonic the Hedgehog 2, b:Sonic R etc.. however I can't take the other books because my wiki is public domain. The Wikibooks Pokédex is nothing but a collection of facts, so it's not eligible for copyright and was therefore already Public Domain, so I grabbed it. Gerard Foley 20:54, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The WikiKnowledge Pokédex

Now that the Pokédex has moved to my wiki, it looks like it's under my care (until others start signing up to help), but I just want to know what all the "Base Stats", "Max Stats" and "Effort Points" table is all about. What does it all mean? Gerard Foley 12:41, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stats are like the group term for all of the Pokémon's power and defense. An example of a stat is Special Attack, the higher a Pokémon's special attack is, the stronger it's special type attacks (like Fire, Water and Electric attacks) will be. The current stats are (more could be introduced) -
    • Attack
    • Defense
    • Special Attack
    • Special Defense
    • Speed
Defense and Special and like Attack and Special Attack reversed, the higher the Defense, the less damage they will take from a regular attack (like Normal, Rock and Steel attacks). Other stats which are unofficial ones, they're hidden but still affect the game are - Accuracy and Evasion. Abilities can also hinder or help stats.
Base Stats are the stats that a Pokémon will have at the lowest level (usually around level 5). Max Stats are the stats that a Pokémon will have a the highest level (level 100). Effort Points (also Experience points) are points won in battle that, when accumulated, will allow Pokémon to go up levels, and in turn evolve. Hope I've helped, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 12:55, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A little, where did all this information come from in the first place? Gerard Foley 13:10, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

After about 4 in I noticed that the only thing changed in the text I was writing was the name of the character in the pic. By figuring this out, I've created this template, which produces all the writing for the TCG images to be decent.

All you have to do is edit the page, wipe it blank, add {{subst:ptcg|''article name''}} (replacing the ital with the name of the character) and save. Voila, you get a fully completed page. Cheers, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 17:38, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposition

I have a new proposal for the Pokémon Collaborative Project, in regard to references, FAC and GAs. The aim of this proposal, if voted into use, is to increase the effort of the PCP community to help one another, as well as to increase the quality of the article we as a project we produce.

The proposal would introduce 2 new features to the PCP, an area where new Pokémon editors could ask for help about referencing, like the ins-and-outs, as well formatting and choosing reliable sources. Other editors who are unsure of this can also leave a note of articles that are textually solid, but require referencing. This could help the future set of Pokémon editors learn new techniques, not just for Pokémon articles, but all. Another outcome of this is that more articles can be nominated for FA and GA, since there are many articles that could pass GA now if they had the references, which aren't particularly hard to find. (Examples of these articles include Squirtle, Clefairy and Sudowoodo).

My second part of the proposal is to set up a group of editors familiar with the FAC process who could brush up on potential articles for FAC, and also nominate the articles on behalf of the PCP, allowing candidacies to focus on the article, rather than the candidate. This group would also help answer questions in the FACs, explaining and expanding on the points and questions of other editors. They could also look at objections of failed FACs, and turn these articles into FAs. The benefits of this proposal are that FACs get the group attention they deserve, and reviewers are forced to review, rather than judge on who nominated the article.

If there isn't any major hissing and booing to either of these proposals, I'll start up a poll, or would it just be better with discussed consensus? The ideas mainly came to me today when I saw the Clefairy article, which I am in the process of referencing, and I thought, "Someone's put a tonne of work into this, if they had known what to do, everyone would have known about it." The second proposal is something I've theorizing for a while, partly because whenever an FAC is nominated, it doesn't feel like any member of the PCP is there for support, partly to help culminate more FAs, and partly because, I'm sorry to say, I feel that the Torchic FAC has turned into nothing more than a mockery of the FAC system, and that I myself will never be able to pass the article to FA standard because of who I am in the community. Thank you for reading and regards, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 20:27, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PCP template

What's the deal with all of the seiyū pages suddenly being part of the PCP? I could understand if they did Pokemon voice overs almost exclusively, most of these only do Pokemon as a very tiny part of their overall work. That hardly qualifies them to be part of PCP. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 01:39, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to remove the template from any page where you think it's inappropriate. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 01:49, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I was mainly just curious since broadening the scope of PCP to include everyone who has ever voiced a Pokemon character makes the project unecessarily larger. It seems that all it does is make all the members of the project have to work harder with the increased number of articles to work on. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 03:12, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I was assuming good faith. ILM seems to think that this was the vandalism I meant, but the vandalism I was talking about occurred on 6 June 2006 and, somehow, doesn't show up on the Edit History. It involved the subpages being merged into a random cluster of boxes, and I thought ILM accidentally did that while experimenting with the Portal templates. Does that clear things up? Cheers, The Raven's Apprentice (Call) 05:23, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hang on-- it's just occurred to me that it might have ben a server error, not vandalism. I've been getting the Wikipedia Server Error Page a lot of times while editing pages since 7 June. Anyway, it says something like "Wikipedia encountered an error while trying to process your request. Hopefully, this error is temporary and will soon be fixed." So, one day I encounter mysterious vandalism, and the next day I start getting Server Error messages? Some coincidence. Anyway, no one here seems to have reverted it, and the Portal definitely was OK when I checked a few hours later, so it has to be a server error. In that case, there's absolutely nothing we can do about it. Cheers, The Raven's Apprentice (Call) 06:34, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Characters' Pokémon

In the parts of an article where it talks about a particular characters Pokémon, the images and text are all muddled up, I think we should fix that be placing it all in tables, like this

{|
|
==== Pokémon Name ====
|}
{|
|
==== Another Pokémon ====
|}

because theres like an image, with half of text of the Pokémon thats in the image, and half of a different Pokémon, there should be like a line of images, and a line of text. I would also recommend the images are at the same side, because it still looks wierd if there not. Poke Master (TalkContribs) 15:52, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a bit confused as to what you mean. Do you mean when we work on articles a particular species of Pokémon, such as Makuhita, that we should include more in the species article about its appearance in the anime and manga? Or do you mean as we expand the species articles, should we expand anime articles by including the same information from the species articles? Maybe it's just me, I don't know. Please elaborate on what you said. PCEevee talk 17:56, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That reminds me, we still don't have an article on Emerald. Any volunteers? The Raven's Apprentice (Call) 08:00, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The title is too vague. It also appears misleading - the link listed is for the magna, which appears entirely separate from the Pokémon Adventures characters (whcih were all listed in the template). I've moved it to {{Pokémon Adventures}} and added some more code to make it look better. Hbdragon88 00:22, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Attack list AfD

I’ll mention this here also, as it already has a distressing number of delete votes. List of Pokémon attacks is on AfD. See the discussion here. -- WikidSmaht (talk) 02:51, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it's distressing at all, for the reasons mentioned in my nomination. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 02:53, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think your nomination is evidence enough of that. Be that as it may, I disagree and I find it in extremely poor taste that you didn’t notify this wikiproject of something so majorly impacting Pokémon-related information on the Wikipedia. -- WikidSmaht (talk) 02:58, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Usually Cel and you cover that sort of thing. I'm not a big fan of AFD noticeboards. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 03:53, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Someone removed the thumbnails. Do you think we should have thumbnails, or just links to the image? Poke Master (TalkContribs) 11:50, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's easier to navigate with links, though.--Ac1983fan (talkcontribs) 13:14, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
… Of course you can't have the thumbnails. You can't have fair use images outside the normal article namespaces. - Tetsuya-san (talk : contribs) 09:32, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I started an new article, but the section about Tyson's Pokémon needs to be Wikified, any volunteers. Also, someone should start an article on Morrison (Pokémon) Poke Master (TalkContribs) 15:27, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WHAT THE BLAZIKEN??!! You can't just whip up an article for every other Pokémon character! AfD. The Raven's Apprentice (Call) 07:45, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've tagged it as copyvio, since only two paragraphs of it weren't copyied from bulbapedia. Even the infobox was copied!--Ac1983fan (talkcontribs) 23:53, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

THAT INFOBOX"S A COPY?? Blimey, it appears on EVERY episode article!! The Raven's Apprentice (Call) 07:51, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Is anyone listening here? That means that every single episode article we have might have been lifted from Bulbapedia. The Raven's Apprentice (Call) 15:08, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh noes! We'll have to delete them all. What a dreadful pity. Oh well, we'll get over it. —Celestianpower háblame 15:33, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe if we come across a Pokémon episode, we can compare it to Bulbapedia and check to make sure its not copyvio. If it is, it will probably be the same person so check the history every time. Thanks --Pokesaur 15:48, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe we should just not have articles about Pokémon anime episodes. Hey! That's an idea, and it might just work... —Celestianpower háblame 19:40, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Here's another idea- We have articles about only the major Episodes (like this one). But first, All the copyvio pages need to be replaced with New rewritings.--Ac1983fan (talkcontribs) 21:55, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have summarily deleted the infobox and all of its subboxes as copyvio. Don't do this again. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 00:54, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey guys. I was going to tag this article with {{prod}}, but decided I'd better see If others agree with me. So, anyone agree?--Ac1983fan (talkcontribs) 17:19, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting... delete. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 17:24, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I laughed at that. Alvin6226 talk 21:04, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't even know what shipping is, and the article doesn't explain. Delete. smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 21:25, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Shipping in general is when fans of a series think that two people should have a romantic relationship together. In this case, it's between Brendan and May. Obviously it's fancruft. Delete. PCEevee talk 23:50, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's quite well written parts, it's like writing fan fiction, so I understood it. Can we send it to BJAON? Highway Rainbow Sneakers 07:15, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I know, that's what I was thinking. Go WP:BJAODN! Hbdragon88 21:03, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pokémon Episodes

I think we should create articles about Pokémon episodes, because List_of_Pokémon_episodes links to articles about individual Pokémon episodes. The articles seems to be abandones, so we should help create them. COmments will be appreciated, thanks --Pokesaur 15:45, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I also have a few tips on what we can have:
  • An events section, a list of main events in the episode
  • A characters section, a list of the main characters in the episode
  • A storyline, the main part, what happens in the episode Pokesaur 19:33, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, no, no, no, NO! Episode guides are non-encyclopedaic, trivial and worthless. While Wiki is not paper, they waste disk space and slow the servers. It's unnecessary and futile. Please, please don't create these articles. Thanks! —Celestianpower háblame 19:39, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Im just saying because there are existing Pokémon episodes created by other users at Category:Pokémon episodes, should we delete those? Pokesaur 19:42, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If I had my way, we would, but AfD is getting lighter and lighter these days. They have to stay or be merged but 2 wrongs don't make a right. —Celestianpower háblame 19:46, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Many The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, and Arrested Development pages have their own, separate episode articles. You're swimming against the tide of these articles. Hbdragon88 01:11, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
They mostly have these articles because the support for them is unified and the opposition is not, plus it's a lot harder to stop something from being added or delete it after the fact than it is to ignore it. I'm willing to set a precedent by saying, "No, this isn't appropriate for Wikipedia, starting with the Pokémon anime," but I don't have to, since they're all copyvio anyway and can be deleted at my leisure. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 01:14, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am deleting, as blatant copyvio, any episode pages that are blatantly copied from Bulbapedia. This has gone on long enough, and Bulbapedia has asked us to remove them, repeatedly. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 01:00, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Something that happened in my game the other day

I know We're only supposed to talk about wikipedia-related stuff here, but I just had put this somewhere. So anyways, I was fishing for carvahna with my good rod, and a gold magikarp showed up. I ended up KO'ing it though. Anybody else have an experience where they Ko'ed a shiny?--Ac1983fan (talkcontribs) 22:12, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Always have False Swipe with you...I breeded FS onto a Shroomish and now have a powerful Spore/False Swipe Breloom that's perfect for catching nearly every Pokémon. And no, I've never encountered a shiny, but I have heard numerous stories of people running into shiny Lairons and Haryimas, only to be blown away by Whirlwind or Roar. July roll call

The list of members on the front page is getting REALLY long, so let's weed it a little. It's time for a roll call. If you're still interested in working on this project's articles (even if you're not doing so right now; I'm just removing people who aren't active on WP or aren't interested any more), please sign below.
