Automating
[edit]This seems like a nice page to have, but in order not to fall badly out of date, it ought to be automated. Perhaps set up a bot, or perhaps fetch the nutshells automatically and transclude them (the code at Module:WP might be helpful for the latter). {{u|Sdkb}} talk 09:37, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
- My gosh—a gateway unto 2000+ essays on various behind-the-scenes aspects of the seething intellectual megapolis that (apparently!) is WP—and only two Talk posts, including this self-referential one? It's like peering at the Grand Canyon through a toilet paper tube. It also unavoidably gives anything posted here a super-macro-like quality, so I'd better try to be serious. [Ahem] Please enjoy these manifold essays, provided for your edification and convenience, WP-wise. Ipso facto, and so forth. (How was that, Jimmy?) – AndyFielding (talk) 08:51, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
- Oops—I suppose I should've started a new topic ("Irrelevant distractions", maybe?), as even I can't pretend the preceding bit had anything to do with automation. Unfortunately, for some reason no doubt wiser than I can comprehend, the mobile version of WP's Talk editor allows posting only, not editing (somewhat ironic, considering our roles as "editors"). Sorry about that. – also AndyFielding (talk) 08:55, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
