This article is not for editor assistance requests: WP:EAR is!

[edit]

This article, WP:EA is quiescent only because it explains the guidelines for using Editor assistance in general. The busy part is WP:EAR, that is WP:Editor assistance/Requests. --Lexein (talk) 06:04, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Time to say it's time to close?

[edit]

Five years ago in 2013 I wrote that since the creation of The Teahouse, the number of calls for help received at EAR have dropped significantly, as further evidenced by today's stats. I realise that a handful of editors still bravely answer the few queries that arrive, but among the confusing plethora of reference desks and other help pages, perhaps it's time to call it a day. Yes. Its work is now split between wp:HELP and WP:Teahouse. Jim.henderson (talk) 22:44, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Consolidating help venues

[edit]

Please see Wikipedia:Village_pump_(proposals)#Consolidating_help_venues. Teahouse and Help Desk have both been notified some time ago as this venue was somehow overlooked. Huggums537 (talk) 15:10, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Getting Checked by English Native Speakers

[edit]

Is there any place where non-native English speakers ask English native speakers to get their drafts or edits checked? --saebou (talk) 11:02, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
