Nevada Transportation Company, hereinafter called the carrier, leases and operates the property of the Eureka Nevada Railway Company, which owns 84.030 miles of narrow-gauge main line extending from Palisade to Eureka, and 6.450 miles of yard tracks and sidings, all in the State of Nevada. The carrier owns no property other than equipment and roadway and shop machinery.

Corporate history.—The carrier was incorporated May 6, 1912, for a period of 50 years from that date, under the general laws of the State of California. The purpose for which the carrier was incorporated was to lease, purchase, and acquire the franchise, rights, and property of the Eureka Nevada, and to operate the same. The organization of the carrier was perfected on May 10, 1912. Its principal office is located at San Francisco, Calif.
