I am back from a temporary hiatus. I am a chef-instructor at a culinary school in upstate New York. I had planned on being an adjunct teaching only two classes while writing my thesis for my masters degree, but a faculty member went out sick for the semester and I ended up teaching six classes while trying to write my thesis and work on other items, so Wikipedia and my food blog took a temporary back burner for me. I have a large number of items I plan on working on now that I am have the time. I hope to get to work with some of you again soon. Today also marks the one year anniversary of this newsletter which I started in June of last year. I came to this project shortly before that and have seen it grow tremendously from so many new and old members working together to improve food and drink on Wikipedia, kudos to all of you.--Chef Tanner (talk) 16:21, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Food Portal continues to be run by the random portal generator, I need to spend sometime updating the portal. If anyone else has some time to help out it would be appreciated.
There are currently no articles listed for merging on the project page.
Articles can be "tagged" currently by placing {{WikiProject Food and drink}} in an article's talk page. Please help out with accessing articles for the project once they are tagged as well. This is a tedious job for the few people who are doing it right now. Listed here are other tags you can use for identifying articles as well as yourself as a member of the project and some other useful items as well.
