⭠ Last week's report

There was a certain gridiron game in New Orleans that severely shaped the list below.

Rank Article Class Views Image Notes/about
1 Kendrick Lamar 3,301,950 It was again a Super Bowl week Report where the halftime show brought the most attention. One of the most acclaimed rappers of his generation delivered a succession of hits, while featuring guest appearances by SZA, Mustard, Samuel L. Jackson and Serena Williams. One of Lamar's dancers decided to run around carrying flags of Sudan and Palestine as a protest, which the production company denied was part of the show but still led to the dancer being banned from future NFL events.
2 Belle Gibson 2,324,232 Gibson is an Australian former wellness guru who claimed to have cured multiple diagnosed cancers through diet, exercise, and alternative medicine including naturopathy. She admitted to have fabricated the diagnoses in 2015, leading to a court action that resulted her getting fined AU$410,000, which at the time of writing is still unpaid. Her story is dramatized in the Netflix limited series Apple Cider Vinegar, released on February 6.
3 Elon Musk 1,842,505 This week, the tech billionaire repeatedly entered the Oval Office, almost as if he were president (rest assured, he could never be President of the United States as he was not born in America). He brought his four-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii, along with him. On more serious matters, through Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), he has begun a mass purge of federal workers, most of whom are still on probation, a decision that could have wide-ranging effects in the daily lives of everyday Americans.
4 Jalen Hurts 1,791,039 In #12, the Eagles quarterback threw for 221 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, while also rushing for 72 yards and a touchdown in the 40–22 win against the Chiefs, avenging the Eagles' loss to them two years earlier. Hurts was named Super Bowl MVP for his performance and was the first Eagles quarterback to make multiple appearances in the annual post-season battle.
5 Captain America: Brave New World 1,738,509 You are planned and you are damned, in this brave new world... - The fourth Captain America film, 35th MCU film, overall 76th Marvel film, and the first Marvel film of the year is here...

First, here's a spoiler-free blurb: If you had loved the first three Captain America films, you'll miss three things in this film: 1) No Chris Evans, although he will return in Avengers: Doomsday which is set to begin filming next month; 2) No ground-level geo-political storyline; 3) Not much continuity with other phase 4 and 5 films. This can't be considered as the Civil War of the Multiverse Saga as some promotional material hinted, because Infinity War is somewhat of a direct sequel to Civil War but can't say the same for Brave New World. Based on the Thunderbolts* Big Game Trailer, MCUers are suspecting that Thunderbolts* could be the Civil War of the Multiverse Saga as the climax hinted on the trailer could directly lead into the Doomsday and that Void who takes over Sentry's mind could be a harbinger of Doctor Doom or somehow be connected to Galactus who will play a main role in The Fantastic Four: First Steps which could also directly connect to Thunderbolts* through post-credit scenes at least.

The reception for the film was also mixed with some even comparing it with the real-world US president Donald Trump. The box office estimations are not bad and the film should at least top the box office for now, as there are two superhero reboots along with a dinosaur movie coming this summer which are likely to dominate this year's box office.

Now, SPOILERS! Brave New World felt more like a sequel to 2008's Incredible Hulk rather than the Captain America films. We had the POTUS Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross become the Red Hulk, we saw Samuel Sterns return after 2008. In the climax, our new Captain America Sam Wilson tried fighting down the Red Hulk and when he couldn't, he just did a pep talk to bring him back similar to what Black Widow did with the Hulk in the Age of Ultron. As some reviewers said this felt like big-budget bonus episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, except we only saw the Winter Soldier for a few minutes in a cameo appearance, not the cameo we were expecting...

Now for the future, President Ross resigned from the government, we never saw who he's VP was, so we have government power vacuum; and with Wilson Fisk set to become the Mayor of New York City in Daredevil: Born Again, could we be looking at maybe a President Kingpin; I'm sure Matt Murdock will have something to say... Also, we can consider Brave New World as the Age of Ultron of the Multiverse Saga, which showed Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet in the post-credit, similarly in the Brave New World's post-credit scene, we didn't get RDJ's Doom, but we got Samuel Sterns / The Leader's prediction of the entire Secret Wars.

6 List of Super Bowl halftime shows 1,709,500 #1 put on the most viewed Super Bowl halftime show in history, watched by 133.5 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. This is just ahead of 1993’s halftime show, which starred Michael Jackson and garnered an estimated 133.4 million viewers.
7 List of Super Bowl champions 1,685,774 Had the Kansas City Chiefs won #12, they would’ve become the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row. Instead, #22 came out on top, securing their first Super Bowl win in eight years.
8 Gulf of Mexico 1,636,637 Some guy who was at the Super Bowl (#23) has stated this is now the "Gulf of America", something the world at large refuses to take seriously. On the rejection front, the fact that the Associated Press still uses "Gulf of Mexico" made the White House block their reporters away from the Oval Office and Air Force One. On the acceptance one, Google Maps turning it into "Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America)" led to a barrage of negative reviews in protest.
9 Drake–Kendrick Lamar feud 1,470,705 A standout entertainment event of last year involved #1 and Drake doing a back and forth of songs dissing each other, and one of Lamar's offerings, "Not Like Us", accusing Drake of being a pedophile, was a hit with both listeners and critics, being in the top 10 of the Billboard Year-End Hot 100 and winning 5 Grammys. So being a part of the Super Bowl concert was a given - after a tease where Lamar added another barb towards his adversary, "I want to perform their favorite song, but you know they love to sue" - with the stage featuring Serena Williams, a tennis legend (who unlike sister Venus Williams knew when it was time to quit) who like Kendrick is Straight Outta Compton, doing the same dance (#25) she performed in Wimbledon after an Olympic gold.
10 "Not Like Us" 1,294,173
11 Serena Williams 1,236,199
12 Super Bowl LIX 1,230,434 #4 and #22 beat #16 and the Kansas City Chiefs in a wipe-out, 40-22. This year’s Super Bowl broke viewership records for the third year in a row. Featuring a star-studded audience including Taylor Swift and #23 and a halftime show lead by #1, and it’s easy to see why. 127 million viewers? Yep. Thank goodness the lights didn’t go out this time.
13 Nick Sirianni 1,053,067 The head coach for #22, leading them to a victory in #12. He previously served as an assistant coach with their opponent, the Kansas City Chiefs.
14 Cooper DeJean 1,000,965 Similar to #24, this rookie Eagle had a birthday (his 22nd) on the same day that #12 took place. DeJean, as cornerback, scored a pick-six by intercepting #16's pass for 38 yards and padding the Eagles' lead, 16–0.
15 Valentine's Day 997,289 Valentine’s Day was Friday, and one thing I love is editing Wikipedia.
16 Patrick Mahomes 966,157 The quarterback that has led the Kansas City Chiefs to 7 conference finals, 5 Super Bowls, and 3 titles - including the previous two before the Eagles stopped him at #12.
17 Deaths in 2025 946,779 Dear God, please, forgive me, you knowin' how hard I tried
I think it's time for me to Watch the Party Die...
18 Drake (musician) 825,200 With #1 firing up his big salvo against his Canadian adversary (#10) during the Super Bowl, of course Drake himself received many pageviews. People also joked that Drake will ask to perform during the Grey Cup final to fire back.
19 Super Bowl 765,924 On the second Sunday in February…it gets wild. The final game of each NFL postseason, the Super Bowl attracts hundreds of millions of viewers each year, waiting to see who will come out on top, or their favorite celebrity, or maybe just to watch the commercials.
20 Chhaava 746,225 The latest Bollywood hit is about Sambhaji, the son of famed Maratha king Shivaji. This film focusses on Sambhaji's battles with the Mughal Empire, led by Aurangzeb. As with the trend in recent Indian hits, it focusses excessively on machismo and superheroism, leaving little breathing space to humanise such men. Also minimised is the contribution of women, who are relegated to the background, despite the fact that women such as Sambhaji's wife Yesubai Bhonsale contributed significantly to the Maratha Confederacy. Unfortunately, these factors don't seem to harm but significantly enhance box-office reception.
21 Tulsi Gabbard 691,136 Gabbard was confirmed as the Director of National Intelligence on February 12 by the US Senate on a 52-48 vote, with all Democratic senators and Republican senator Mitch McConnell voting no. Gabbard was a former Democrat who served as a House Representative for a district in Hawaii. She launched a presidential campaign in 2020, before dropping out and supporting Joe Biden. She left Congress in 2021, left the Democratic Party in 2022, and in 2024 she endorsed Donald Trump (#23) for president and joined the Republican Party. While her supporters have defended her record, noting her military and political experience, critics accused her being a national security risk, highlighting meetings with Syrian president Bashar al-Assad in 2017, and accused her of being sympathetic to the Russian position in its invasion of Ukraine.
22 Philadelphia Eagles 690,164 Fly, Eagles, Fly! #12 was their second Super Bowl win (after Super Bowl LI in 2017) in their almost 92 years of being a football team. They say "defense wins championships", and the latest Super Bowl was no exception. Featuring such greats as #4 and #24, the Eagles sure packed a punch and unexpectedly defeated the Kansas City Chiefs and #16 in a blowout win, 40-22.
23 Donald Trump 679,639 In this week's edition of "What Did Donald Do?" (WDDD), we find the Associated Press indefinitely barred from Oval Office events because of their decision not to use Trump's preferred name for #8. After watching the first half of #12, becoming the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl, Trump tweeted about a wide variety of subjects, including abolishing pennies. The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), spearheaded by Trump's right-hand man #3, has begun a mass purge of federal workers, most of whom are still on probation, a decision that could have wide-ranging effects in the daily lives of everyday American citizens. On that note, Trump's executive order blocking birthright citizenship was itself blocked by a third and fourth federal judge, and that's just the start of a barrage of court actions that have been holding the most sweeping parts of Trump's agenda at bay. Can you believe we're only four weeks into Donald Trump's second term?
24 Saquon Barkley 666,625 In #19, this Eagles running-back celebrated his 28th birthday by helping #22 win the Super Bowl. Barkley only ran for 57 yards and had 40 receiving yards, but that helped him set the NFL record for most rushing (2,504) and most scrimmage (2,857) yards in a season, surpassing Terrell Davis from 1998 and putting them both in the 2,000+ yard rushers to win the Super Bowl in the same season.
25 Crip Walk 664,005 Keeping off Severance is a dance created by the infamous Crips gang of Los Angeles, that gained an association with West Coast rappers. 3 years after a Super Bowl half-time show had a synchronized version of the Walk led by Snoop Dogg, #12 had it again, done by #11.
