Template:Chrono Crusade (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

This template is completely unnecessary now that all of the character articles have been merged back to the main article and the only separate article left is the episode list. —Dinoguy1000 21:35, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Reluctantly Delete, while this series should have more, right now it doesn't. Can't speak for others, but it will be quite awhile before I get to its other two lists, and even then a template may not really be necessary, so delete. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 21:52, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment - aah, don't be so reluctant, remember that it can always be recreated later if necessary (though as you pointed out, that's not looking terribly likely)... On that note, I guess I should go ahead and start a chapter list for the series already, since I have access to (at least some of) the volumes. —Dinoguy1000 18:29, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
      • I have the whole series, I just keep forgetting to do it. :P If you want to start, it though, I can fill in the ones you don't have. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 18:39, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
        • Yeah, my library has the first five volumes (though I think a couple of them are checked out ATM), I'll pull what they have and start on the list in a minute (rather than creating a separate article, I think I'll just start a "Chapter list" section on the main article, it can always be spun out later). —Dinoguy1000 19:05, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Agree with Collectonian. Right now, it only has two pages linked on it... Much too insignificant for it's own template I'm afraid... -- Highwind888, the Fuko Master 07:27, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete -- not enough articles to need navigation, and frankly even with a chapter list, there still wouldn't be. —Quasirandom (talk) 15:42, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template:WikiProject Neurology (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

Now replaced by the new parser functions in WP:MED's banner, since WikiProject Neurology is now a subsidary of that project as a task force. This template serves for nostalgia, but that's all. —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 16:24, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template:TopicTOC-Geography (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

The alphabetical list in the template has been deleted. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 07:25, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since my tfd nomination the template has been edited to reflect th updated List of geography topics. See also Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of geography topics (0-9)‎. The template is used on pages where it may create confusion since the alpha list links to sections of another page rather than within the page the template is used on. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 20:36, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - the alphabetical list in the template has been fixed, and so far, Alan is the only person who has complained about this type of menu, which has been in use without complaint for many months - and his complaint concerns potential confusion that others might have rather than actual documented cases of confusion. He doesn't even seem to have been confused by it himself. And if by some chance somebody gets confused by this obvious menu, one click on the menu is all it takes to alleviate it. Please keep this very useful navigation aid. Sincerely, The Transhumanist 20:55, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - It previously pointed to the sections (subpages) of the List of geography topics, and now has been fixed to point to that page's current sections (subheadings) since all its content has been merged (or rebuilt) into a single page - why Alan didn't do this himself is unclear. Alan, you did a nice job on the clean up of the List of geography topics. This nav menu is there to help the reader navigate Wikipedia's geography resources, which it does a very good job of. In addition to tieing key content (list) pages together, it doubles as the TOC for this page (essentially Wikipedia's Geography index), making this template especially effective. I also restored the placement of this useful navigation menu on the other pages where it was displayed, from where it was removed prematurely (that should be done after TfD, not before). The Transhumanist 20:46, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - For examples of other navigation menus of this type, see Wikipedia:Index templates (note that the redlinks on that page are for nav menus that haven't been created yet). The Transhumanist 20:46, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, but remove TOC - this is similar to other templates of the same type, however I think there is no need to include the TOC when the topics page is a single page. The TOC is more important when there are numerous topic subpages such as Template:MathTopicTOCG716 <T·C> 02:32, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template:SALargestCities (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

This template and the associated list has been unreferenced since it's creation. The information is misleading and likely inaccurate. Most of the cities listed has had their borders changed. Some of the cities has been renamed. It is highly unlikely that we will in the future see any population stats for cities such as Durban, Pretoria and Port Elizabeth; population stats will most probably be done on Metro or Local municipality level. I will probably be prudent to remove this permanently or until such time as there are reliable, verifiable stats available. --196.11.134.77 (talk) 08:27, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
