Wikipedia:Proposed tools/Change GIGL link

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Name of tool

[edit]

This would be a tool to update links to the website for London nature reserves.

Problem

[edit]

I am not sure if this is too specialised, but hopefully it should be fairly simple. Around 2011 Greenspace Information for Greater London took over responsibilty for the website for London nature reserves, and their site went live in 2012. Just over a year later they revamped it, and the links are now broken. I have updated some, but there are still 110 broken links to the individual information pages about the sites and 99 to the map of London nature reserves. The date shown on the pages for the sites has been changed from 2006 to 2013.

Requirements

[edit]

For the individual site pages change igigl/siteDetails to online/site-Details, and preferably the date from 2006 to 2013. For the map change http://www.gigl.org.uk/igigl/map.aspx to http://www.gigl.org.uk/online/

Interface design

[edit]

(describe how you imagine the user interface might look; it can be web-based, GUI-based, console-based, or whatever you like)

List of interested developers

[edit]

High-level architecture

[edit]

(to be filled in by developers; what components will the tool have, and how will they interact?)

Implementation details

[edit]

(to be filled in by developers; how will the tool be implemented? what technologies will be used and what implementation issues do you anticipate?)

Progress

[edit]

(as the tool is developed, describe here how far along it is and what problems are being encountered)
