Don't dance around the maypole if someone's cutting all of the ribbons. What this means is, if someone is acting vitriolic, it is not in anyone's best interests to ignore it. The correct way to deal with ribbon snippery is:
- Take away the scissors and tell them it's a bad thing to cut ribbons. (warnings, discussion)
- If that doesn't work, seek a restraining order on the cutter regarding the maypole. (topic ban, civility parole)
- If that doesn't work, lock them up for grand ribbon snippery. (blocks from 24 hours to indefinite)
