- i can't find this in the national archives to verify the copyright status. (many other images of the ship are available, however) Calliopejen1 (talk) 00:29, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- it could easily be one of the ones not online, but this image will likely be just as good for the article (cropped I think). Raeky (talk) 13:17, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Hildebrandt-Greg and Tim.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs) - uploaded by GentlemanGhost (notify | contribs).
- The image's resolution too low and pixelated to be of use. Marcus Brute (talk) 01:41, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Admittedly, it's not great. But so far, no one has replaced it with a better image. --GentlemanGhost (talk) 19:26, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete I doubt such an image would be a benefit to the article, no image is likely better. Raeky (talk) 13:18, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep I would agree that it's quality is not the best but remember this is being used under fair use. Until someone can replace it with a better/free image, it should remain. RedWolf (talk) 17:50, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- File:A Carnival Christmas.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs) - uploaded by Ibaranoff24 (notify | contribs).
- Alternate album cover with no commentary at all about it in the article. As the article already has a non-free image this one fails WP:NFCC#3a as excessive use. The rationale on the image page Image is used to illustrate the text next to which it appears, which describes the alternate album cover. is simply incorrect as there is no discussion at all about the image in the article, just the note reissued in 1997 by Island Records with alternate artwork.. Without critical commentary the image fails WP:NFCC#8 as it does not significantly increase reader's understanding but is instead simply decorative. Peripitus (Talk) 03:41, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete as excessive/decorative use of non-free content, and poor fair use rationale. Stifle (talk) 12:28, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Provision of Artwork is a fact itself which requires illustrating. Use of this image is in context of the article, is correctly licensed and provided with an adequate fair use rationale. whether or not it adds to so called ‘significant understanding’ will vary from person to person and is purely subjective and not a reason for deletion on the say so of a single editor. Removal would harm article. Archivey (talk) 14:20, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Cover is very different. (See article A Carnival Christmas). Per WP:NFC, showing the identifying images of albums is considered significant in the context of improving reader understanding of the topic of the article. This image does just that. Jheald (talk) 12:21, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Meets WP:NFC criteria. Two images is clearly minimal use under criteria #3, and criteria #8 is met as the alternate album covers cannot be adequately described textually, therefore, the image significantly increases the reader's understanding.--2008Olympianchitchat 07:24, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment: Label is from about 1920, between when Edison Bell restored colour printing at the end of WWI and the redesign of the label c. 1922. However when I scanned and uploaded this to Wikipedia in 2003 I was thinking of what we now call PD-US rules; as this was a UK printing that doesn't apply and I don't know enough about UK copyright laws to know if this might still be under copyright in the UK. (note: company went under in the Great Depression, c. 1933). No objection to deletion if better copyright info not forthcoming. Alternatively, since we seem to have no alternative free illustration for the article on the historic record label, might be retagged for fair use within the article. -- Infrogmation (talk) 17:28, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
