Uploaded by Pharos04 (notify | contribs). CV. See Wikipedia:Fair use#Counterexamples #5: A photo from a press agency (e.g. Reuters, AP), not so famous as to be iconic, to illustrate an article on the subject of the photo. There's no reason we need a fair use image to illustrate a drop kick, and there is an overwhelming amount of fair use images on the Doug Flutie article. — Rebelguys2 talk 06:38, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree. That was a pretty important moment in his career and a rather notable one in NFL lore. youngamerican (ahoy hoy) 18:18, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I see what you mean about counter-example #5, but the photo still seems to fulfill all ten fair-use criteria to me. I don't think it violates #1, since it's a famous event. It seems to pass #2 because it's low-resolution, and #8, because it's significant. The ten fair-use criteria are policy; the counter-examples are only part of a guideline. Does anyone contend that this picture violates any of our criteria? – Quadell (talk) (random) 14:19, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Uploaded by Pharos04 (notify | contribs). CV. You can't combine GFDL content with unfree content. It's a violation of the GFDL, and unlikely to be fair use. The logo should be separate from the map, if it's used at all. Superm401 - Talk 12:45, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Strong keep. As long as it is not used in the (Main) namespace. If we can't stand having the piss took out of us, we ought not to be deleting stuff. -- RHaworth 16:05, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Britannica and Websters both have antries on humor and the creators of said publications originally included articles and poltical cartoons lampooning them in said articles as examples AND references. Try looking at history before you determine something to be "unencyclopedic." - Brutilus 16:19, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
