Hi, there's a little remnant of a watermark at the bottom right. Can you remove it please?-- Anythingyouwant (talk) 01:37, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

As you can see the pictures are very old (the owner took them on 1985); I was wondering if it'd be possible if you could cropt them/un-blurry them, or just make them better (at least as better as possible)?? Thanks-- Chrishm21 (talk) 01:39, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Chrishm21: They can be cropped, but I'm afraid the blurriness is there to stay. It's very difficult to remove that level (and type) of blurring, and even when it is done, the edit doesn't restore lost detail, just makes the lines sharp. In addition, it's something that takes a lot of work (it has to be done by hand, and it would require high quality reference photos), so much so that I don't believe anyone here is willing to commit to it. If I were being hired to do that, I would estimate it to take me a week or so, working full time. Even then, it would be obvious to any photoshopper that the photos had been retouched. Hello MjolnirPants, I understand what you mean and what you can do. If cropping is the better we can do for those pictures, please go ahead :) I'll really appreciate it. Thank you! --Chrishm21 (talk) 17:53, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There's watermark logo in the very middle of the image. I want that to be removed. Jaqeli 08:09, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Jaqeli, I overwrote the existing file, because I could not translate the file name. If you're not satisfied, feel free to revert it.

Thank you. Usually pictures with watermarks is better when they are overwritten so it's better you did overwrite the file. Jaqeli 17:24, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't actually know whether this is possible or not, but if it is I'd like this image to be available as an SVG, so that it can be displayed in a larger size without pixellating (as in the larger gallery version above). The original is here, if it would help to take a new capture. Yunshui  09:13, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The WP:Graphics Lab/Illustration workshop may have people more skilled with SVG than here. (Hohum @) 19:22, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Hohum. I did consider taking it there, but it looks as though the standard process of creating an SVG there is to draw up an entirely new image - what I really need is a way of re-rendering the existing image, which is of (minor) historical significance. Like I said, I'm not actually sure it can be done, but graphics aren't my area of expertise - I was hoping someone here might say, "Oh yeah, I have a way of converting tiny bitmap images to vector graphics!", since I don't know of a way to do it. Yunshui  21:13, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Mind you, on reflection, it might be worth a shot. I'll post this over there as well. Thanks for the suggestion. Yunshui  21:20, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I can create a larger raster version of this image, if you like. It won't be the original, of course, but it would be much clearer at larger sizes, and I could make it look like a scaled up version of this. MjolnirPants Tell me all about it. 21:56, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@MjolnirPants: Thank you - that sounds like a good idea to me! Yunshui  11:17, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Yunshui: I've uploaded a 300+ pixel version which you can see above. I tried to make it as much like the original as possible. MjolnirPants Tell me all about it. 13:58, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
