The Graphics Lab is a project to improve the graphical content of the Wikimedia projects. Requests for image improvements can be added to the workshop pages: Illustrations, Photographs and Maps. For questions or suggestions one can use the talk pages: Talk:Graphics Lab, Talk:Illustrations, Talk:Photographs and Talk:Maps.
This specific page is the requests page for the photography workshop. Anyone can make a request for a photograph to be improved for a Wikipedia article. The standard format for making a request is shown below, along with general advice, and should be followed.

Advice to requesters

All requests:

  • Please make sure your request is "legitimate" by copyright. If the image(s) are in the public domain or freely licensed, you are fine. If the image(s) are "Fair use", there are only certain things we can do with them without falling afoul of Wikipedia's fair-use policies.
    • If you are requesting assistance with a copyright or fair-use image, don't display it on this page; place {{GLNF|Example.png|caption|align=left}} to create a link to it. Do not add the File: extension. Our fair-use policy does not allow displaying fair-use images out of their articles on ANY account.
  • Please check back regularly to see if progress has been made or if any additional questions need to be answered before the request can be completed.
  • If a request is done to your satisfaction, please mark it with {{resolved}}.

SVG requests:

  • Make sure your request can actually BE vectorized. Note that vector drawings are not suitable for certain applications. We generally use SVG format for icons, logos, drawings, maps, flags, and such. Certain things, photographs especially, are totally impossible to vectorize.
  • Per our non-free content policy, vectorization of copyrighted images is not permitted. If a vectorized non-free image is desired, seek out such an image from the copyright holder.

Hi, I was wondering if someone can kindly please upload a cropped version of this photo of the bassist Tom Evans from the band "Badfinger" so it can go in his page? He is the man second from left. Thanks in advance! -- 109.77.59.156 (talk) 15:37, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I was wondering if someone can kindly please upload cropped versions of this photo of Karin Metze, Ute Steindorf and Carola Hornig and three other German rowers so they can all go on their respective pages? The main people needing a photo are Karin Metze, Ute Steindorf and Carola Hornig. Three other women, Iris Rudolph, Sigrid Anders and Sabine Portius are also to have cropped images as they have have pages on the German, Spanish and Chinese versions. Where the rowers are in the photo are listed below the image. Two women in this photo, Claudia Noack and Kirsten Wenzel already have images cropped from the photo. Thanks in advance! -- 109.77.59.156 (talk) 21:46, 8 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Could someone please crop the photos of the five particular BGLE members listed in the "Articles" section out of the two files provided in the gallery? Since the photos are oval-shaped, I'd recommend surrounding them with white backgrounds as part of the new files. And, if it's possible, I'd also ask for the general quality of the cropped photos to be improved as well. Thanks. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 16:27, 15 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

List of Tages members
Request
Hi! I was wondering if someone can kindly please upload cropped versions of these photos of the rock band Tages so that they can get in not only the "List of Tages members" but also the individual pages of the members on Swedish Wikipedia. These members are Freddie Skantze, Lasse Svensson and Björn Linder. Where the members whose images are needed are listed below the images. A fourth member, Anders Nordh also needs an image but does not a page on Swedish Wikipedia. If the two photos posted here aren't usable for this, there is a category of photos with his face on Commons (though all of them still need cropping). Thanks in advance! -- 109.77.59.156 (talk) 22:18, 16 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
