User:Edward/Find link

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Wikipedia:Findlinks)

Find link is a simple tool that lets you search for articles to consider adding links to. Enter the title of an article, hit search, and up comes a list of articles with the phrase you entered. Some of them may be good candidates for adding links. However, the same phrase can be used in different contexts to mean different things, so it is essential to:

  • Review the guidelines on making relevant links before starting.
  • Only add links to articles on topics that you understand, so that you can be sure the link is relevant.
  • Read enough of the article to be sure the link you are adding is relevant as per the guidelines on making relevant links.
  • Ensure that the link is consistent with the article's existing style – for example, when adding links in citations.
