This is a subpage of Wikipedia:Donated artwork. It is an incomplete list of articles requiring images.

For your artwork to gain maximum exposure, there are two important considerations:

1. Page visits or hits the English Wikipedia article receives.

2. How many Non-English Wikipedias have an article about the subject. Other language Wikipedia articles will almost certainly not have an image for the subject if the English Wikipedia does not. These non-English articles also get significant page visits. An uploaded image at Wikicommons can be used in articles at all the different language Wikipedias.

Before deciding on a subject, please consider the following:

It is a good idea to check at Flickr for an available photograph. Any image found there must have the appropriate Creative Commons license or be released into the public domain. If you do encounter such an image, please let a Wikipedian know so that it can be inspected for possible upload to Wiki Commons.
As this initiative involves sending an email to multiple groups and individuals, it is entirely possible that others will be working on a particular portrait at the same time. The community ultimately decides which gets used at Wikipedia. It is more likely for competing portraits to be created for articles that receive a higher number of page views than the less viewed articles.

If you decide to work on an image, please click on the "Sign name" button and enter your name or pseudonym to let us and other artists know that someone is already working on it.

Even if you see another artist's name there, you can still add your name. Keep in mind that there is no timeframe for the submission of an image. This means that others who have added their name may provide an image at any time, or not at all. Also, others may be producing an image, but have decided not to add their name. Ultimately, it is impossible to predict what images or how many images may be produced of any subject.

Also note that if you have not registered an account and sign your name without being logged on, your IP address showing your location will be revealed in the page history.
