Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

1. Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
2. You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|North Macedonia|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.

Removing a closed AfD discussion

Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.

Other types of discussions

You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to North Macedonia. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

Almost identical to Draft:Thomas Petrovski which was declined due to a lack of sources. Creator has a clear COI, since they also created Paul Petrovski, and they appear to have a particular interest in people with this surname. CycloneYoris ^talk! 21:52, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

Hi CycloneYoris - I have added sources in the Reference Tab. Is this not sufficient enough? They are from official sporting organisations. Tp767 (talk) 00:07, 4 January 2025 (UTC)

For a BLP article especially, the subject must be covered in-depth by multiple in-depth secondary, independent, reliable sources. See WP:RS, WP:V, and WP:N for more information. • Delete - several sections completely unreferenced and fails WP:SPORTBASIC. Footballer is a semi-pro. Every single reference provided thus far is a database source like Transfermarkt, Sofascore, Flashscore and Tuttocampo with zero prose coverage. I was unable to find any news articles on Thomas Petrovski in a WP:BEFORE search. The article is filled with WP:OR from top to bottom and the creator has failed to respond to requests to disclose WP:UPE and/or WP:COI. Strong delete. Tagged 7 years ago as unsourced. I checked a couple of the sources on the Turkish article but not sure they are enough - for example they don’t support the first sentence here saying he was born in Macedonia Chidgk1 (talk) 13:06, 30 December 2024 (UTC)

  Yes you would think with his career that good sources would exist somewhere. Perhaps native speakers of Turkish are not very interested in editing Wikipedia. I would not be surprised, as I find Turkish Wikipedia generally unfriendly and frustrating. Chidgk1 (talk) 06:41, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
