@LaundryPizza03: it appears to be a matter of template editing instead of a manual merge. However on Template:(Dis)establishments in decade category header I only find documentation about the template, not the script of the template itself, so I am a little puzzled. Templates removed or updated – deletion pending automatic emptying of category

These requests have been processed but "what links here" on the deleted category still shows multiple links from article and category space. This may be, in part, due to links in templates for which the revised version has yet to be populated; these are automatically processed by the job queue. The current backlog size can be seen there. Null edits can alo be used to resolve these backlinks. Please do not remove entries from the list until the only remaining backlinks are from project or user space pages.
