@HouseBlaster: On it, but just checking, are we going with my proposal to work it into Category:Fictional soldiers in video games, or the one Zx suggested to put them in Category:Fictional female soldiers? My understanding of the discussion is that you do whichever category(s) they belong in. In other words, if they belong in only one, put it there; if they belong in both, do that. And of course, if it belongs in neither, just remove Category:Female soldier and warrior characters in video games without replacing. @HouseBlaster:Mostly done. Per the discussion cleaned up Category:Female soldier and warrior characters in anime and manga and Category:Female soldier and warrior characters in television as well. The comics category will need some heavier work, but right now it's migrated out of Category:Fictional female soldiers and warriors by medium so that can be eliminated also.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 23:01, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

 Done. Two notes:
  1. I have placed people in one of the national subcats (e.g., Category:English television presenters) instead of Category:British television presenters whenever appropriate (and consistent with the other categories on the page) and didn't add the latter if there were already in one of the former, because I assumed that those are diffusing categories.
  2. However, I assumed that the subcats for specific show types (i.e. Category:British children's television presenters, Category:British game show hosts, and Category:British television talk show hosts as well as their English, Scottish, etc. analogues) are non-diffusing categories (so, for example, I added Krishnan Guru-Murthy to Category:English television presenters, even though he was already in Category:English children's television presenters).
Let me know if either was wrong (and what I should've done instead), then I will fix that promptly. Otherwise, feel free to remove this entry without replying/pinging me :) Felida97 (talk) 16:32, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This may be, in part, due to links in templates for which the revised version has yet to be populated; these are automatically processed by the job queue. The current backlog size can be seen there. Null edits can alo be used to resolve these backlinks. Please do not remove entries from the list until the only remaining backlinks are from project or user space pages.
