History of the page
[edit]This Galleries, Libraries Archives & Museums (GLAM) initiative page was originally created in 2018 independently by User:BrillLyle as an inspiration and launching point of the adding content from the Biodiversity Heritage Library to Wikipedia and its sister projects.
It did not have official support or GLAM Partnership with the Biodiversity Heritage Library, and most tasks related to it were recorded in the project for the Biodiversity Heritage Library at Wikimedia Commons.
As of 2024, the Biodiversity Heritage Library has strengthened its ties with the Wikimedia movement, hired a Wikimedian-in-Residence, and chose the Meta-Wiki page as a centralized source of documentation.
