Higher Earth was retained. The AfD discussion resulted in no consensus
The coverage I found to prove its notability is not enough to convince some people. Assistance in finding more to prove its notability beyond any reasonable doubt, would be appreciated. Meantime, articles about newer animated television shows, such as List of The Simpsons episodes (a featured list article), continue to reign. In the age of infotainment, hopefully Wikipedia won't lose a bunch of worthy articles due to the intrinsic profit motives inherent in corporate mass media, in which less popular topics receive less coverage due to profit motives that favor popular topics in order to promote higher readership/viewership numbers, which correlates with higher advertising revenues. Runet (term)

Runet (term) was retained in the encyclopedia
Nominated for deletion to be removed from the encyclopedia per a rationale of being a dictionary definition. However, the term is exceedingly more complex than a simple dictionary definition. For example, (from the Wikipedia article): "in 2009, a Yandex report stated that Runet can pertain to sites written in Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian and Kazakh languages, as well as sites in any language published in the national domain .am, .az, .by, .ge, .kg, .kz, .md, .ru, .su, .tj, .ua или uz".^[1] Hence this request is being posted here to improve the article and find/add additional reliable sources. ^ (in Russian) Контент Рунета —Northamerica1000^(talk) 04:30, 26 May 2012 (UTC) The article was retained in the encyclopedia. Curtis Magazines

Information was merged to List of magazines released by Marvel Comics in the 1970s
Marvel comics published a lot of magazines. Most seem to be objecting to the name of the article, instead of its content. I need help finding coverage of Marvel's magazine division used to avoid the Comics Code Authority. Dream Focus 09:23, 29 May 2012 (UTC) An interesting article that I learned new information from. After some source searching, finding coverage about the comics that Curtis Magazines published, rather than significant coverage about the topic itself. If the AfD discussion results in delete, there's always the book Marvel Comics Imprints, published by a company that creates books from Wikipedia articles and other online free sources. Leslie Daigle

The Leslie Daigle article was deleted, with a redirect to California State Assembly elections, 2012

The article has sources but could use a rewrite, there is a campaign it seems to me by several users to repeatedly erase cited content and whitewash the article into a state where it looks like there is not enough sources or content.LuciferWildCat (talk) 20:22, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

It is not canvassing. If you are sure of your case, you wouldn't mind having others state their opinions there. Odd to have so many people show up this time at the AFD. The last one was closed on May 7th 2012, just 16 days ago. Only one ARS member went there and said keep after LuciferWildCat tagged it. All the time, and if you put any effort into that question you would have easily found I vote to delete articles nearly 40% of the time. PBP is the antagonist here and you are taking his side because perhaps you find it the path of least resistance. Since he has never abided by his agreement to leave me and articles I work on alone and I am more reasonable you are instead blaming me for all that you find wrong in the wiki world. He persistently accuses me of canvassing and that is a personal attack and harassment. He was bothered so much by the rescue feature that he personally lobbied to half way destroy it as a personal vendetta. Rescuing is about finding the sources and reevaluating an overhauled article into a notable state. Why don't you waste your time accusing PBP of misusing the AfD function instead. All I work on is adding more content and improving articles, I have a flare for the hard to cite but that is what wikipedia is about, finding great information about topics that would be difficult to research or unlikely to have more than a one line entry in an encyclopedia. Furthermore over time more content is found by more people but without a landing zone these articles will never properly form. Where there are sources there is a place for articles. Constant acosting by PBP is the only misuse of the project going on here, not efforts to improve.LuciferWildCat (talk) 01:15, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

Leslie Daigle – Closed as redirect

The article's AfD discussion closed as redirect to California State Assembly elections, 2012. The closer's rationale was rather generic:

"With the history deleted. Most commenters agree that there should not be a separate article on this subject."

The closer may have possibly based the closure upon a simple !vote count (against Wikipedia:Polling is not a substitute for discussion), as there was no analysis whatsoever in the closure about the addition of new sources to the discussion about the topic's notability, and many that !voted apparently didn't revisit the discussion and actually see the new sources. Also, prior to its deletion, the article was under full protection, and no editors other than administrators were able to work on improving it. Then it was removed from the encyclopedia. OMG...ARS isn't the place to editorialize about closures you don't like. And WP:IDONTLIKEIT is about all that this DRV would be running on, whereas the endorsement of the decision has a better than 2:1 consensus behind it. Do the community a favor and don't start an pointless DRV that will amount to wasting a lot of time, but having the same result as the AfD p b p 21:15, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

Most commentators agree shows that the admin considered it a vote to redirect. The closing admin did not consider the arguments validity and this should be taken to DRV on that basis.LuciferWildCat (talk) 19:37, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

There is plenty of information from reliable sources to improve the band history. I would do it myself, but I don't have very much time to do it over the next few days. I am worried that it will be deleted before I can improve it. I am asking for assistance in improving the band history. The person did help to clarify what could use improvement within the article, though, and many reliable sources were already present in the article in it's (former) Further reading section (now titled "Additional sources") at the time of the post here. John Mason (schoolmaster)

This is a stub article on a living person who has served as the headmaster of some of India's most prestigious and important schools. I've not yet had time to check for sources but it seems inconceivable that it's not possible to write an encyclopaedic article about such a person, though sources for India are obviously much less comprehensive than those for the UK. Regardless of sourcing it is important to maintain a balance of articles on Wikipedia to counter the inherent Wikipedia:Systemic bias. Mitt Romney Cranbrook incident

Someone decided the issue needed expansion, too much to fit in the main article, so on the Mitt Romney talk page said they create this for it. Valid content fork? I am the editor that saw this issue was too big to fit comfortably on existing pages which were already long. My goal has been to keep with the objectives of Wikipedia and carefully negotiate between those that wish to squash anything bad about a candidate that they support, and those that wish to blow up anything bad to support an opposing candidate. This subject is too big to hide and has filled hundreds of newspapers on the front page and not showing this article is censorship. The newspaper reporters that worked on this article were carefully reviewed and everything written reviewed by a David Maraniss. Fact is, if the Obama-Biden campaign hadn't titled their campaign slogan "forward", this article likely wouldn't have been nominated for deletion at this time. The topic appears to have received significant coverage in reliable sources and as such seems to be worthy of a stand-alone article, but the page is currently under full protection until 17:12, 5 May 2012 (UTC) (here's the diff page), so it's currently unable to be edited by most Wikipedia users. While this topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources which qualifies it as a stand-alone article, it's not necessarily necessary to have one.
