== Can you edit content on the mobile version? ==

There appears to be some vulgar content on the wikipedia subject of Chile (country) - http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Chile
Under "6.5 Largest cities", the chart is erased and left with a rude message in all caps.
However, it is only visible on the mobile site when I check through my phone.
When I try to access the mobile version via PC, the content is normal.
Yet on my phone, despite pressing "refresh", it still appears.
I would like to erase this myself, but the edit function is not there for the mobile site.
Otherwise, I kindly ask if you could check and remove the problem.
If this content is already gone, and my phone is just having problems, then I'm sorry for having troubled you. <span style="font-size: smaller;" class="autosigned">— Preceding [[Wikipedia:Signatures|unsigned]] comment added by [[Special:Contributions/70.29.24.64|70.29.24.64]] ([]) 00:53, 2 March 2012 (UTC)</span><!-- Template:Unsigned IP --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

== Help on an editnotice ==

Hi,
I had changed my name from "Parasect" to my current username, but many new users keep posting messages on [] of my old username. == Deleting the User "Autofan" ==

Since the User "Autofan" is blocked on the English Wikipedia for an infinite time since several years, I'm wondering if it would be possible to delete this account, so that I can add this username to my global Wiki account. I'm a user from Germany (my username in the German Wikipedia is "Autofan" too) and I would like to get more involved in some discussions on the English Wikipedia and it would be a great help to use the same username, so that I can use the "global login".
I don't know if thats possible somehow, but if so, it would be great if an admin could take care of that. --[[Special:Contributions/174.62.144.158|174.62.144.158]] ([]) 03:00, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

== HOW TO CHANGE WIKIPEDIA'S FONT COLOR SETTING? Section 2 ==

I was about to ask a question about font color when I found the question just above about it, so I read that page. I'm confused, however: does the "a:link.external" provision affect ELs that have been visited, ELs that have not been visited, or both? Ever since the new MediaWiki version was added, both visited and unvisited ELs have appeared the same way, and because I've been checking lots of external links lately, I really need to be able to tell the difference between visited and unvisited. [[User:Nyttend|Nyttend]] ([]) 05:18, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
:<small><code>a:link.external</code> refers to unclicked external links.</small><br>I think this is a problem specific to the English Wikipedia and that has existed long before MediaWiki 1.19. The default CSS already has <code>.mw-body a.external:visited{color:#636; }</code> (<span style="color:#636">color test</span>), which should take care of it, but for whatever reason it's not working. On other languages, it works (for example, try clicking on a link at [[:de:Brighton#Weblinks]]), and they use the same code. I am perplexed, so I've [//wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3AVillage_pump_(technical)&diff=479785696 commented] at VPT linking here. I'm not sure whether this is something to be brought up at Bugzilla or not. [[User:Goodvac|Goodvac]] ([]) 08:03, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

::A reply at [[Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)#Visited external links are not changing to purple]] thinks you want to change the default color but I don't read your post that way. I have made no change to the default and I see different colors for visited and unvisited external links on the English Wikipedia in Firefox 10, for example purple on http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/A after I click it, and light blue on http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/B which I haven't clicked. [[User:PrimeHunter|PrimeHunter]] ([]) 13:09, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
:::PrimeHunter, yes, you read it correctly. I would like to change it for myself ''because'' it appears that the default has been changed to be the same as the unclicked. It's not purely restricted to en:wp; I tried on Commons and got the same problem. By the way, there's another thread at VP, "Color doesn't change for links when I visit them; is this an update-related problem?", which I posted over there and which has gotten no replies since I moved it from RD/C. == Redirect the redirect? ==

I entered 'autopatrol' in the search box and found to my surprise that [[Autopatrol]] redirects to [[Grader]]. I was looking for [[WP:Autopatrolled]]. I asked on [[Talk:Grader]] and was told that the redirect is probably due to a grader vehicle with "Auto Patrol" in its name, although the article does not mention this vehicle or the word 'autopatrol' at all. The editor who answered me suggested I create a disambig page at [[Autopatrol]], but I have read that this is not advised for a term with only two meanings. I could put a hatnote in [[Grader]], but really I'm wondering whether it is reasonable to have [[Grader]] as its primary meaning. Would it be reasonable to redirect [[Autopatrol]] to [[WP:Autopatrolled]] and cut its connection with [[Grader]]? Thanks in advance. [[User:Kimelea|~ Kimelea]] ([]) 07:51, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
:Proper venue is [[Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion]] (note that unlike Articles for Deletion, Files for Deletion & Miscellany for Deletion, RfD and Categories for Discussion are for ''discussion'', although still included in [[Template:Deletion debates]]). [[User:Dru of Id|Dru of Id]] ([]) 08:10, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
:: I think that putting a hatnote of the type "Autopatrol redirects here. If you are looking for autopatrolled pages on Wikipedia, read [[WP:Autopatrolled]]." onto the Grader page would be the correct way. AFAIK, automatic redirects from null namespace to WP: namespace are not allowed, so a redirect from Autopatrol to WP:Autopatrolled would be illegal. Cheers! :If you are looking for a Wikipedia feature and not an article then put wp: in front as in [[wp:autopatrol]]. == Wyatt ==

I would just like to add to that information, my name is Charis Joy Liebich, My grandmother was a Wyatt, descendent of the British Duke Wyatt, we have records of this on our family tree and our ancestry as far as I have been informed is recorded at Buckingham palace (it might be available at the British Museum. What might be of interest to you, is as to why there are Wyatt's in South Africa, the reason is one of the descendent's of the Wyatt's, a duke, fell in love with a commoner, it is most likely that this would've been: William Henry Wyatt 1840-1889 and the commoner Sophia Titman 1836-1916. As a result he was given two options by the Queen, either he rejected Sophia Titman or he forfeited his title and would be forced to relocate to South Africa. He chose to loose his title. This is the line of Wyatt's I come from which can be traced all the way to the Duke Wyatt, who received his title upon informing or stopping a plot of assassination on the Queen's life.

Our line from the Wyatt's goes as follows:
1.A Duke in England
2.William
3.Henry
4. ?Wyatt
Then there is unknown
5. John James Wyatt
6. William Henry Wyatt 1840-1889 married, Sophia Titman 1836-1916
7. Harry(Who's name is actually Henry, keeping with tradition) Wyatt married to Minnie Watson 1870-1942
8. Charlotte(otherwise known as "Lila") Wyatt 1908-2002 married to Ernst Traugott Liebich 1910.

What must be noted, as you can see, is that many of the names that were given were indeed family names, which explains the John James Wyatt in America etc. There is more information which can be found on a site called "My heritage" I would encourage you to please go look at this information, so that you can update your information on the Wyatt's. I just thought that I'd inform you of this, and I would appreciate it if you could include this information.

Kind Regards

== Contributions rendering error? ==

As of today, I noticed that the closing parenthesis surrounding the edit summary on my own contributions page was being placed over the last character in the edit summary. Is this behavior limited to some unusual quirk of my browser-OS combination, or is it generalized? I don't see the effect anywhere but my own page.

I am running Chrome in Win7Pro using the default skin. I haven't changed anything that would coincide with this behavior manifesting, but I suppose Chrome might have silently updated. The problem has persisted across restarts, window resizing, and reboots, occurs on multiple machines, and occurs when I am not logged in (though this may be a caching thing?) It does not appear to happen in IE.

A screenshot showing the behavior is at https://plus.google.com/photos/108633618017568269118/albums/5715786216699889313?authkey=CMmwy7besbrm1AE

Check out Taiwo and kehinde Osuolale( the twins in question). <span style="font-size: smaller;" class="autosigned">— Preceding [[Wikipedia:Signatures|unsigned]] comment added by [[Special:Contributions/41.203.64.129|41.203.64.129]] ([]) 08:21, 4 March 2012 (UTC)</span><!-- Template:Unsigned IP --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

:If I understand you, you are objecting to something in the [[Progeria]] article. It says "In September 2011, the first reported case of a black African child with progeria was reported, 12-year-old South African Ontlametse Phalatse." However you are saying that this is not true. And two black Africans who are movie actors in Nollywood movies had the condition before this?

:If you want to change the article you'll need to find a newspaper article, a magazine article, a book, or maybe a movie review website that talks about the twins. You'd need to find this kind of evidence before you could fix the article. [[User:Cloveapple|Cloveapple]] ([]) 14:20, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

== Named reference definition placement ==

Is there any problem with defining a named reference in the reference-tag section rather than in the first use of the named reference?, both cases seems to work. So no problem?

<nowiki><ref name=thename>url..</ref> .. <references/></nowiki>

vs

<nowiki><ref name=thename> .. <references><ref name=thename>url..</ref><references/></nowiki>

:I'm not whether I understand your question. Are you saying that the page [[User:Rear admiral lära connor]], which you have [http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=User:Rear_admiral_l%C3%A4ra_connor&diff=480128967&oldid=429250859 edited], should have its name changed to [[Vice Admiral Carol Pottinger]]? If so, I regret to say the page is not yet ready to stop being a user page and start being a real article. Most importantly, it needs to [[Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners|cite references]] to show that this person really should have a Wikipedia article about them. You may wish to use [[Wikipedia:Article wizard|this tool]] to help you create an article. Alternatively, if there's already an article about this person on the Swedish Wikipedia, you can add {{tld|Expand Swedish|Name of article on Swedish Wikipedia goes here}} to [[User:Rear admiral lära connor]], which will request that someone translates the Swedish article into English. == Article title formatting ==

In the last few months I have noticed that article titles don't display properly. They always have html-like "tags" in them, like the example below. I am using Ubuntu 10.01 and Firefox 10.0.2 Mozilla Firefox for Ununtu Canonical 1.0

<span dir="auto">John Forbes Nash, Jr.</span>

:Do you mean that you are seeing those "span" tags, <nowiki><span dir="auto">John Forbes Nash, Jr.</span></nowiki>? If you are using the StumbleUpon Firefox extension, see [[Wikipedia:Help_desk/Archives/2012_February_29#HTML_tags_in_page_titles|this archived thread]] for a possible fix.
