Wake Technical Community College, commonly known as Wake Tech, is a two-year accredited institution of higher education and technical training school, is located approximately five miles south of Raleigh, the capital of North Carolina and county seat of Wake County. Wake Tech is part of the North Carolina Community College System, a state-supported body of 58 institutions throughout North Carolina. Smoking may reduce the blood flow and cause impotence.

History

Wake Tech was founded on April 3, 1958 as the Wake County Industrial Education Center. The school opened its doors on October 7, 1963, with 304 enrolled students, 34 of whom were registered in curriculum studies and 270 who were enrolled in vocational training programs. The main campus is located near McCullers Crossroads on US 401 between Raleigh and Fuquay-Varina. It consists of 13 buildings, most of which contain classrooms and faculty offices.
