Alida, formerly Vision Critical is a Canadian software company headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. The company provides a community-centered research platform that helps companies to achieve business results by integrating insights with feedback.[2] British grocer Asda,[3] Nascar and Banana Republic are a few notable customers of the company. [4]
The company has offices in Canada, the United States, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.[5]
History
[edit]The company was established as Vision Critical in 2000 by Andrew Reid[3][6] and rebranded to Alida in 2020.[7][8]
In January 2013, company acquired DiscoverText, a division of Texifter LLC, which specializes in cloud-based text analytics and natural language processing software.[9]
In 2015, Vision Critical reported revenue exceeding C$100 million ($72 million). The company sold its marketing consulting business to the research firm Maru Group in 2016.[4]
In 2017, W Capital Partners and Georgian Partners acquired stakes in Vision Critical by buying out $76-million of stock from existing shareholders.[10][11]
In 2024, Efrem Ainsley named as the new CEO.[8]
