Vampire Kisses is a series of books written by Ellen Schreiber which consists of Vampire Kisses, Vampire Kisses II: Kissing Coffins, Vampire Kisses III: Vampireville, Vampire Kisses IV: Dance With A Vampire, Vampire Kisses V: Coffin Club, Vampire Kisses VI: Royal Blood, "Vampire Kisses VII: Love Bites", Vampire Kisses VIII: Cryptic Cravings and a forthcoming volume, Vampire Kisses IX: Immortal Hearts. The series itself revolves around the life of a teenage Gothic girl named Raven Madison.

Characters of the Vampire Kisses Series

Raven Madison: The main character in the whole series. She is sixteen (now seventeen) years old goth living in the town she calls 'Dullsville'. She is an outcast in her family and school. She's witty, smart, and humorous. She wears black all the time and has a deep obsession over vampires. She is only accepted by her best friend, Becky Miller because she too was also an outsider. Raven is often faced with the challenge of having to stand up to her archenemy Trevor, the most popular boy in school. She wishes she could be a vampire like her boyfriend, Alexander, but has second thoughts. She is also friends with Scarlet and Onyx.

Alexander Sterling: A vampire, originally from Romania, who moves to 'Dullsville' to stay in his dead grandmother's mansion. Alexander is extremely caring, polite, and protective. He is also an artist who paints family portraits or landscapes during the night time. Alexander is home-schooled, and yearns for a human life style. He is tall and thin with long, silky midnight black hair and chocolate brown eyes.

Becky Miller: She is Raven's closest friend and she lives on a farm. She often finds herself an unwilling participant in Raven's schemes. Throughout the series, she begins to gain confidence and she is slowly accepted by her fellow classmates. She also starts dating Trevor's ex-best friend, Matt.

Trevor Mitchell: Raven's nemesis ever since kindergarten. Trevor is often portrayed as a snob, fitting into a 'king' archetype in the clique of popular kids at school. His character is more in depth and is revealed throughout the series. He has a crush on Raven, but will not admit it.

Jameson: Alexander's butler. He is very old. He has served the family for many years, and watches over Alexander, moving from town to town with him. He is dating Ruby White.

Jagger Maxwell: Jagger is a vampire from Romania. He is an old enemy of Alexander, therefore he could be considered the main villain of the series. He has one blue eye and one green eye. His personality seems slightly eccentric, as he is very focused on his missions and does relatively crazy and dramatic things in order to achieve his goals. He doesn't view anything as too extreme. He seems to like Raven and tries to make her his girlfriend several times but fails. He has a human twin sister, Luna, and an 11-year-old little brother, Valentine and is the oldest Maxwell sibling.

Luna Maxwell: Jagger's younger twin sister. Unlike her brother, she has blue eyes instead of both green and blue. Her personality is actually more childish and eccentric than Jagger, and her motives are fueled more by spontaneous emotions than the deeper ones of her brother Jagger. She wants to find love, but has never been found quiet anyone to love. She has had 3 attempted convent ceremonies and has been left at the alter at all of them. Her main drive is that she is an emotional wreck when it comes to Alexander and her own family. Luna was born a human and was engaged to Alexander when he decided to back out of the agreement. This is partly what drives Jagger in his hate towards Alexander, because he was supposed to have made Luna a vampire when they married. Later she stayed to have a convent ceremony with Ravens arch nemesis Trever, but Raven and Alexander ruined that. Then she tried to have a convent ceremony with Alexander's best friend, Sebastien, but Raven found out that they were really on sacred ground and tried to stop it only to be dragged aside by Jagger at the last second.

Valentine Maxwell: Jagger and Luna's younger 11-year-old brother. According to Alexander, Valentine is a blood reader. He looks exactly like Jagger only in a younger version and has only green eyes. Valentine had a hard time communicating with his older siblings because of him being the youngest.

Billy Madison (aka "Billy Boy" or "Nerd Boy"): Raven's younger brother, whom Raven always has a conflict with because of Raven's taste of goth subculture, while he has interest in chess and sci-fi adventures like Star Wars. After his birth, Raven's parents begin to grow out of the hippie culture and transition into more of a suburban family. He has a friend named Henry who shares his interests. He secretly does respect Raven for standing up for herself, but enjoys making fun of her. He really like Alexander and thinks he is cool.

Phoenix: A vampire biker that Raven meets inside the Coffin Club. Phoenix has purple hair with shades and usually wears black motorcycle boots and a leather jacket. Phoenix is eventually revealed to be Alexander, who needed an alternate identity because of Jagger's schemes.

Sebastian Camden: Alexander's best friend. A handsome, charming guy appearing around Alexander's age with wild wiry short brown and blond dreadlocks, boot-shaped sideburns, goatee, and a thin ashen face. He is impulsive, humorous and a real flirt. He "falls in love" with Raven's best friend Becky. He later "falls in love" with Luna, but breaks up with her when she tries to trick him in to having a convent ceramony on sacred ground. He likes to travel the world and has been with a lot of girls trying to find his true love.

Henry: He is Billy's "Nerd Mate", a smart and clever little 11-year-old boy, just like Billy. From time to time he has helped Raven. He loves creating very bizzare and complicated locks for everything.

Mr. & Mrs. Sterling: They are Alexander's parents, who still live in Romania. They are a happy vampire couple who first appear in the 6th book, Royal Blood. Mr. Sterling is a art dealer and at the beginning does not realize how good an artist Alexander is, but later discovers it during an art auction. Mrs. Sterling insists on having an umbrella with her unless it is raining. "mr and mrs madison": raven and billy madisons parent, were once hippies in their young age, then having raven became successful in life.soon after raven they had billy.
