Proposed deletion of Potential Studios

[edit]

The article Potential Studios has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable studio. Only the last of the given references given even mentions the studio. And even that is a mere mention--not the required significant coverage.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —teb728 t c 21:34, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate reversion

[edit]

Hi, your reversion of another editor here at Thozha (film) is inappropriate because you did not provide a legitimate reason. Please instead use Oopiri's talk page to seek consensus for your change, but do not revert again please, as it will be considered disruptive. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 11:18, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Joker (2016) film

[edit]

Hi, I'm Rasimmons. Zkathir, thanks for creating Joker (2016) film!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Without references, it isn't really possible to determine whether or not a subject merits an article or if the information within the article is true. I've looked, but can't seem to find any. If you can, that would be great.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. R. A. Simmons Talk 13:18, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Maanagam First Look Poster.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Maanagam First Look Poster.jpg, which you've attributed to Potential Studios. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. AntiCompositeNumber (Leave a message) 23:54, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, Zkathir. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Sunshine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.deccanchronicle.com/entertainment/kollywood/011216/what-is-it-like-to-be-a-refugee.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Dan arndt (talk) 09:30, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dan arndt, pls have a look at the article now. Thanks for notifying me. I have corrected the content. Thanks. Kathir 07:16, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, this edit introduced tone that is unsuitable for an encyclopedia. Content must be written from a neutral point of view, so presenting subjective information as fact is not consistent with that goal. "Dupes" is slang, and we don't drool over information by describing things as "spellbounding". Additionally, there's a strong case to be made that the content constitutes plagiarism, since the phrasing is very close to what is found here. Please don't copy prose from sources in the future. Content must be written in your own words. That might help you avoid promotional tone and slang. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:57, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

Nice new name. I'm not sure if this a spoof of my editing name or merely an inspiration. Anyway - it looks like you're someone associated closely to S. R. Prabhu / Potential Studios / Dream Warrior Pictures / Karthi - so please remember to edit without any excessive promotions or bias.

Your draft article, User:Editor3050/ZKathir

[edit]

Hello, Editor3050. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "ZKathir".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Stefan2 (talk) 23:50, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'm unaware of using 2 accounts in Wikipedia is illegal, I'm so sorry for that. Other than this, I guess I did not do anything which is illegal or abusive in nature. Hence request you to unblock this account, so that I could continue my contribution to Wikipedia, Thank you very much for understanding. (let my other account be remain blocked)

Decline reason:

The earliest I would consider unblocking is 6 months from now. We might proffer the WP:standard offer. However, there may have been other issues as well, such as promotional editing. You would need to address that and any other problems at that time. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 22:10, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'm interested in contributing the cinema news and I was doing the same. I was using reference repeatedly from few websites, if this is considered as promotional editing, then I'll stop doing it. Also I was updating few wiki pages very regularly and those are the pages I'm more interested in, if this is considered as promotional editing, I'm not sure what to do! I think this is a basic right for me to update/contribute the pages I want to. Kathir 02:37, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

No. This is an encyclopedia, not a news site. You have no basic rights to update/contribute to any pages you want to. Yamla (talk) 13:10, 25 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi all, Thank you for unblocking my talk page access. * I understand that using multiple accounts is abusing Wikipedia, I'm sorry for doing it, I assure you all that I will not do it again. * If you unblock me access to edit Wikipedia, I assure you that I will do only productive contribution. * Further, I'm not being paid to edit Wikipedia, I'm working for Dream Warrior Pictures, hence my interest in editing Tamil movie pages and Tamil film industry related pages. I hope I could get my privilege of editing Wikipedia back. Thank you, Kathir 01:21, 13 March 2019 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficiently convincing for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 18:37, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Given that you work for Dream Warrior Pictures, you will be required to adhere to WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO. Practically, that means you'll have to agree to refrain from editing about Tamil movies and the Tamil film industry generally. In fact, you'll need to stay away from the entire industry. Please modify your unblock request to indicate you'll abide by this and tell us what you'll write about instead. --Yamla (talk) 11:00, 13 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Yamla (talk), thanks for your explanation. Instead of directly editing and publishing the articles, may I edit and submit for reviews? (all my edits). If that is too much to ask, I'll refrain myself from editing for now. May be in future, if I change my profession, I'll start contributing. Thanks Kathir

If Tamil films or the Tamil movie industry is all you want to edit about, you probably aren't going to be unblocked- and if you don't want to edit about anything else at this time, you should probably just withdraw your request until there is an unrelated subject that you want to edit about. Just my opinion- others are free to disagree. 331dot (talk) 09:51, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Poster of The Sunshine.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed.
