A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Ylprogramdotorg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Request reason:

Hello, while I am of course not new at using Wikipedia, I am new at editing. So yes, it seem like this is just promoting an organization, however we have a fascinating back story and much like Boys/Girls State which has many sites and is a similar organization. My intent is not to promote Young Leaders as much as it is to tell the story of where we came from and the details which include Oregon State government employees and staff from many camps different summer camps coming together to an organization. I am fine with a block because I am still learning how to do all of this editing and creation. I would just ask that a "speedy deletion" not be carried out until I can at least have some time to produce the page and you can judge it fairly on its content rather than a heading. Thank you.

Decline reason:

Since you aren't asking to be unblocked, I am declining this request. Wikipedia is not for telling the story of your organization. To contribute here again, you will need to want an unblock. 331dot (talk) 17:52, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Blocked

[edit]
There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. ~Anachronist (talk) 15:42, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I request to be unblocked in order to make a page explaining the origin of my organization, as any other organization that has a "history" section and about the work that the program does in the community and with students.

Decline reason:

See WP:COI and WP:PAID. You will not be unblock to make promotional edits about your organization. Period. Also, you forgot to address the username issue. Vanjagenije (talk) 18:58, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would add that Wikipedia has no interest in what an organization(or its representative) wants to say about itself, or how it wants to be portrayed. Wikipedia is only interested in what independent reliable sources state about an organization, that indicate how it is notable as an organization(as Wikipedia defines it). If you just want to tell about your organization and its history, you should do so on the organization's own website or some other website designed for doing so. 331dot (talk) 19:40, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
