Speedy deletion nomination of D.O.P. Foundation
[edit]A tag has been placed on D.O.P. Foundation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - Why can't I edit Wikipedia?
Because Wikipedia does not allow any form of spam or other promotion of people, products, companies or other groups (even non-commercial or charitable ones). Using Wikipedia for such purposes will result in the blocking of the account involved. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest for our policies about this.
In addition, user accounts are for individuals only, not for companies or groups or other collective editing. Your username should reflect this. Usernames that appear to be promotional (such as those that make reference to a company or product) violate our username policy and are typically blocked to enforce that policy.
- What can I do now?
If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.
If you do intend to make useful contributions about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:
- Add the text
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below this message box. - Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Tell us what new username you want to use. Please make sure that your new username does not violate our username policy and check that it has not already been taken (click here to search).
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below this message box and replace the text "Your reason here" with the reason why. See also Wikipedia:Appealing a block for more information. Nja247 15:58, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Help
[edit]You placed the {{help me}} tag on one of your pages. You should place such a tag here on your talk page. The recent spate of articles that you have added do not indicate the notability of the organization you are writing about. Please review the relevant Wikipedia guidelines about creating an article that is properly sourced and whose subject is properly notable. Also, your username indicates that you are associated with the D.O.P. Foundation, which constitutes a conflict of interest. Users should not add articles about their own organizations, they should wait for others to do so in order to maintain the neutrality of Wikipedia. Finally, it is not necessary to create a page for every conceivable variation of the foundation's name. If an article is created about the foundation that is considered notable and verifiable, then redirects can be created from the alternative spellings, rather than duplicating the page content many times. - P.S. I note that you have been blocked from editing. If you wish to add content to Wikipedia that is not an advertisement for your organization, you should chose a new user name and feel free to proceed. Please keep the above guidelines (notability and verifiability) in mind while you edit. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:04, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
