Hello. My understanding of the world comes mostly from comic books, cartoons and school lectures which I only half-heard and half-understood as a lad and which I now only half-remember. However what I lack in actual knowledge and experience I make up for in strongly voiced opinion. Since this qualifies me to be a colleague of the most respected Wikipedians, I trust my input in these decisions should be most valuable. Viva Frank Zappata (talk) 01:15, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, my comportment in these matters has been execrable. I falsified my qualifications above by claiming a background in comic book learning. In fact, I stole this from the CV of the esteemed editor (http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Curly_Turkey) who indignantly informed me my input was not welcome (http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk%3AWikiProject_Japan&diff=480912743&oldid=480897181) in this discussion: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Japan#Objection_to_the_use_of_a_religious_symbol_as_a_symbol_for_Japan
Perhaps my lack of a solid foundation in comic book learning prevented my recognising the utmost gravity of this discussion, which concerned what icon should be employed by a Wikipedia Project. While others were asserting the offensiveness of the present icon (without evidence), and still others offered up for consideration such sober suggestions as a blowfish (http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk%3AWikiProject_Japan&diff=480765803&oldid=480764685), a figure with a phallus for a nose (http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk%3AWikiProject_Japan&diff=480809899&oldid=480804644) and the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk%3AWikiProject_Japan&diff=480788175&oldid=480787460) as alternate mascots for the Japan Project, I, instead, mocked the discussion. How disgraceful. I shall make good use of this infinite ban to infinitely ponder proper Wikipedian conduct. Once I have attained understanding of the difference between unwelcome buffoonery and proper Wikipedian buffoonery, I shall feel I am fit to again to aspire to elite buffoonhood: Wikipedia editorship. At that time, and no sooner, shall I request the restoration of my editing privileges. Viva Frank Zappata (talk) 21:00, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
