Invitation to wikiFeed
Hi Robcamstone,
I'm part of a team that is researching ways to help Wikipedia editors find interesting content to contribute to Wikipedia. More specifically, we are investigating whether content from news sources can be used to enhance Wikipedia editing. We have created a tool, called wikiFeed, that allows you to specify Twitter and/or RSS feeds from news sources that are interesting to you. wikiFeed then helps you make connections between those feeds and Wikipedia articles. We believe that using this tool may be a lot of fun, and may help you come up with some ideas on how to contribute to Wikipedia in ways that interest you. Please participate! To do so, complete this survey and follow this link to our website. Once you're there, click the "create an account" link to get started.
For more information about wikiFeed, visit our project page. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask via my talk page, or by email at wikifeedcc@gmail.com. We appreciate your time and hope you enjoy playing with wikiFeed!

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Lena and Bonnie - Clapperboard Information.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Discography addition on Harp Twins page
Hi Robcamstone,
I noticed that you added a discography section to the page about Camille and Kennerly Kitt, which is great, but could you please tell me where you got the release dates? The twins announced to their fans for the first time that their music was available this very month of August. Please help me understand why you are citing earlier months. Thanks! Dontreader (talk) 01:10, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Robcamstone, yes, I later found out where those release dates had come from, but I'm sorry for totally forgetting to tell you. I was more asleep than awake. Anyway, I hadn't thought about the potential advertisement problem. I've been reading the Wikipedia rules and checking random musician pages to see if they've used similar references. Apparently there are reasons for some concern, but all I did was provide reliable sources for the release dates mentioned, which is what Wikipedia wants contributors to do, plus those are the only sources. For sure we must not show any sort of music-buying promotion in the external links or in the text of the article. Oh look, the discography section that you created has been modified. Well, how about if I keep up the references and we just hope that any possible patrollers will see that the intention was to keep the article well sourced? Thanks for your response, and have a great day! Dontreader (talk) 18:55, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi again, Rob. Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry that I erased a couple of your links. Notice that the iTunes reference that was provided by the user you mentioned is an internal Wikipedia link, which protects the page from potential claims of promotion. That user also posted Amazon as you said, but he/she did not make a link from it at all (probably because Amazon has many Wiki pages and he/she couldn't find the trick to direct Amazon to the proper Wikipedia page). I fixed that, and I changed your cdbaby addition (which was a great idea) to a Wiki link. To show we are only using the sites as references and not trying to advertise a specific site (or a musician's music) it's best to use their Wikipedia pages. No one can complain about that. But again I do apologize for changing your work. I did that based on what I read on Wikipedia regarding the issue earlier today. I still don't like the way the page looks. "Singles" looks redundant. I will make more changes. You mentioned difficulty with the sources. Well, definitely providing sources in articles is a pain because there's a lot of code involved, and one mistake will produce a very unpleasant message or some other sort of messy result. I always try to find pages that have done a good job with citing sources (or some cool trick), and I paste this in my sandbox for experimentation. Often times, I make sure that what I'm going to change on a page looks perfect in my sandbox and then I simply copy and paste it on the page I want to change. Anyway, thanks again! More Harp Twins songs
Hi Robcamstone! How are you? I was wondering if you could add some more songs to the discography section which you created on the page of Camille and Kennerly. I added some more tracks myself but it's best if there's variety among the contributors to the page. I hope you won't mind, and to save you some time I will paste all the necessary links right here:
iTunes
The First Noel
https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-first-noel-single/id585144764
Carol of the Bells
https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/carol-of-the-bells-single/id585145144
SoundCloud
The First Noel
https://soundcloud.com/camille-and-kennerly/the-first-noel
Carol of the Bells
https://soundcloud.com/camille-and-kennerly/carol-of-the-bells
Nice writing to you again! Please respond on my own talk page if you see this so that I get notified via email. Thank you very much, and Merry Christmas! Dontreader (talk) 03:18, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Robcamstone, it's very good to see you're still around! Thanks so much for your message! I see that you've added the tracks, which is great! Yes, I myself always use the sandbox to practice before I add links and stuff like that because this whole Wikipedia thing is not user-friendly at all! Here are the issues that I have noticed: 1) On iTunes, please leave a space between "Single" and "(Released" for Carol of the Bells and The First Noel. 2) On SoundCloud, although Auld Lang Syne is a new track from a certain point of view, in reality it is not because I remember downloading it for free a long time ago, and then recently they took it down and uploaded it again for another 100 free downloads, but I noticed that the link didn't change, so there are no broken links, so please delete the new Auld Lang Syne line. Notice that the repetition of the ref name="Auld Lang Syne" causes Reference 57 to show "ab" since there are two of them. 3) Also on SoundCloud, maybe for now you should keep on adding "Harp Duet" to the new tracks since the previous ones say this, although I understand that it seems redundant, so later on we can decide on making changes. 4) Again on SoundCloud, the error that you noticed with reference 63 and 64 is because you didn't add "The First Noel SoundCloud" and "Carol of the Bells SoundCloud" after the links, before the "]".
- I hope this helps! If you have any questions, please write to me again on my talk page. Thanks again for contacting me so soon! Bye for now... Dontreader (talk) 20:54, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Rob! The new format looks amazing! Yes, much better, easy to read, and very sophisticated! I never would have been able to do that, so thank you very much! I'm sure the twins will think this is very cool! I wish you a very Merry Christmas! Dontreader (talk) 19:18, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 10
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lena Zavaroni On Broadway, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Medley and Annie Get Your Gun (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Editing User talk:Robcamstone (new section)
Hello Robcamstone,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Editing User talk:Robcamstone (new section) for deletion, because it seems to be a test. Did you know that the Wikipedia Sandbox is available for testing out edits?
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Howicus (talk) 14:09, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
- Jeez those templates are so impersonal. So anyway, your page was empty and had a title that made me think it was created accidentally. Howicus (talk) 14:11, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Lena Zavaroni/UBX/Navigation Bar
A tag has been placed on Lena Zavaroni/UBX/Navigation Bar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, image description page, image talk page, mediawiki page, mediawiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, or user talk page from the article space.
If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi Rob! Please give me a couple more days to edit the page about Camille and Kennerly. I very much look forward to contributing, but I do not feel well right now. I'm sure I'll be better on Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. Thanks for understanding. Don't worry. I'll get the job done soon, I promise! Have a great week! Article titles
Please read Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Album article style guide#Naming on how to properly title articles about albums. Disambiguation is clearly not necessary for most of the articles you created for albums by Lena Zavaroni. I will take each to discussion using {{Requested move}} if you do not agree. Thanks. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 02:27, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
MfD nomination of User:Robcamstone/UBX/Navigation Bar (LZ)

db-move
You recently put speedy delete tags on two pages and said "it and it's duplicate page Presenting Lena Zavaroni have become confused and need to be recreated from scratch". This was wrong: a) its don't take an apostrophe in this context, b) to do that would have thrown away edit histories and removed the credit of the original author/s. The correct procedure would have been to place: {{db-move|Presenting Lena Zavaroni (Lena Zavaroni album)|fix a fork. Please recover history of this page after the move}}
on Presenting Lena Zavaroni. OK, in this case you were the only author but the principle still applies. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:18, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

Confused
Please fix "don't leave me a message on this page" above. If people click here, where do you think the message is going to go? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:28, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
- I think it going to creat a new section. I have yet to find a way to get it to auto fill the subject section, so am still dependant on users to add a subject, but sadly they don't always do so.
- Sorry you choose to be negative, but if you don't like my user page don't visit it. Go find somebody else to bully. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robcamstone (talk • contribs)

I finally reduced the number of references on the Twins' page
Hi Rob!
I'm sorry for taking so long. Finally those strings of numbers (citations) on the Harp Twins' page have been reduced substantially. In my opinion the problem has been taken care of, so it's much more pleasant to read the article. There is one string of numbers left, but considerably shorter, and those citations are important sources that enhance the notability of the Harp Twins. I took out many sources, but without leaving the page vulnerable to patrollers.
Sadly, the Creeporia movie never materialized, and the project has taken a turn that has rendered it insignificant and therefore not notable. That's why I deleted that information.
Thanks Rob for your patience, and have a nice day! Dontreader (talk) 07:05, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
Many thanks to you too...
Hi Rob,
You are totally right regarding the actions taken on Camille and Kennerly's page. You did the right thing for sure. That Tokyogirl did not act in good faith. Just now I demanded an explanation from her under her own comment on the article deletion discussion page. Here:
She claims to be a seasoned Wikipedian, so she has no excuse for totally ignoring the guidelines for what she did, saying instead that she had no opinion on the matter. Outrageous. Great work, Rob. Thanks! Dontreader (talk) 20:22, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
