Hi

[edit]

Opinions on Chisholm Fire 2001 in Alberta? Worthy of article or no? Wildfireupdateman (talk) 04:14, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely worthy of an article, @Wildfireupdateman:. Do you mind if I start a draft in userspace, rather than the AfC draft you made? It doesn't need to go through AfC in my opinion, tons of sources. The Interior (Talk) 17:27, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and started it, please feel free to help build! User:The Interior/Chisholm fire The Interior (Talk) 17:57, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I'm relatively new to Wikipedia, what's the difference between afC and user space? Wildfireupdateman (talk) 19:48, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

[edit]

I am back after a bit of a vacation how are you doing these days?

Well, welcome! So great to have more folks working on the forest fires articles :). AfC ("Articles for Creation") is set up for brand-new editors and unregistered accounts, mostly to keep non-policy-compliant articles out of mainspace until a more experienced user can check them. It can take quite a long time for an article to be approved as there's usually a big backlog. "Userspace" is just you own personal sandbox space where you can tinker with new content before moving it to article space. The Interior (Talk) 20:59, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
sorry to bother you how do you get your name to appear at the end of a comment? sorry to bother you about this Msruzicka (talk) 01:59, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Patrick. I had your user page on my watchlist so i just noticed your departure from the WMF. Thank you for your many years of service. I hope we'll keep seeing you here as an editor! Clayoquot (talk | contribs) 23:28, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Clayoquot, great to hear from you! And also great to see you are working on some of the climate change articles, so very important. I'm definitely around for the long haul, working on forest fire stuff right now. They've been hitting a bit close to home for me lately ... Really appreciate the note :) The Interior (Talk) 19:41, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm so glad to hear you're planning to stick around. Yes, the forest fires have been really really hard, even just to watch from over here. Stay well :) Clayoquot (talk | contribs) 22:42, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Draft moved

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Chisholm fire. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Bobby Cohn (talk) 19:42, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
