ANI

Hello. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.

Thought you should be aware this had been taken to ANI - it seems to have started / continued on your talk page (though not at your instigation). I'm not an admin - was just cleaning up a couple of things at ANI. Cheers, Stalwart111 04:34, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for letting me know. — JJJ (talk) 14:31, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

Tyler Kyte

When you click a the reference link for Tyler Kyte's page you get sent to a spam site. http://tyler-kyte.net/ It was a former fan site for him but has since been hacked. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.147.250.28 (talk) 15:47, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

You are correct. I've removed the reference per WP:USERG since the site is/was a fan-site. I reverted your edit because you removed the {{Reflist}} template from the page, which caused a citation error. The {{Reflist}} template isn't actually a reference itself. If you want to remove a reference in the future, you'll want to look for the <ref></ref> tags in the article, and remove them (and the content enclosed in them) instead. — JJJ (talk) 16:12, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

Few Misunderstandings

Hi TheJJJunk: Thank you for your recent messages. I informed you some issues regarding two articles in the Wikipedia. However as there are few issues regarding them I am not going to be involved in those issues again. Maybe in future some other wikipedian can write better articles on those entries. I am sorry to bother you about these issues and the strange message, which came from an unknown IP address. Thank you. Have a nice day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluesapper12 (talkcontribs) 23:09, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

No harm done. — JJJ (talk) 05:22, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

Hyperpersonal model

Hi, why has the reference section completely disappeared from this page? I was int he process of editing and citing my contributions. ```` — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sagorika89 (talk) 02:13, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

The References section didn't appear because you removed it with this edit. That's the reason I reverted the page in the first place, because you had previously removed it. When making large changes to an article, I recommend placing the {{In use}} template on the top of the page until you are done editing. That way, when passing editors like myself see that there is an error on the page, they will wait until you are completely done editing before trying to fix the problem. I have edited the page and re-added the References section. — JJJ (talk) 14:28, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

Your request for rollback

Hi TheJJJunk. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Mifter (talk) 00:09, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

Thank you very much. — JJJ (say hello) 01:23, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi TheJJJunk, I see you did a small fix on Alice Starmore. I'm not sure if you saw the reason your fix was needed: could you possibly have a quick look at recent changes to the article and see what you think is going on here? all the best - Chiswick Chap (talk) 09:53, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

I've reverted the page, left a message on the article's talk page, and notified Millstonelane about the discussion. — JJJ (say hello) 14:29, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi TheJJJunk, Millstonelane has again removed the image and text-with-refs. I've notified them, restored the image and put a note on the Alice Starmore talk page; however, I think someone other than me ought to re-check the removed text and refs, and decide whether to put them back as we're on the verge of an edit war here. If you could have a look? Whatever you decide, it would be wise to make a note of it on the talk page so we can reach consensus. Thanks Chiswick Chap (talk) 12:32, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

I've left messages on the user's talk page as well as the article's talk page. — JJJ (say hello) 14:39, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
Thanks! Let's hope we reach consensus quickly. Chiswick Chap (talk) 14:41, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi The JJJunk, Please see gang connected with vandalism deleted the page of Mukhlesur Rahman Chowdhury. Kindly help to restore the page and take necessary action against them so that they cannot do the same in future. Best, The Prekshit ₧ — Preceding unsigned comment added by The Prekshit (talkcontribs) 20:45, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

It appears that there hasn't been any vandalism since your last edit to the article. Yunshui moved the talk page to the correct location with this edit. Other content has been removed because it lacked reliable sources. If you wish to add questions, comments, or complaints about the article, please do not do so on the article itself, as you did with this edit. Instead, place your concerns at the article's talk page. Best of luck. — JJJ (say hello) 22:27, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

Dear Sir, OK. Thanks. TheRedPenOfDoom attacked the page of Mukhlesur Rahman Chowdhury. Please be advised that there are groups of armed people using names of Bluesapper12, TheRedPenofDoom etc. and attack on page Mukhlesur Rahman Chowdhury and help Moeen U Ahmed for known reasons. Kindly help by taking action against this vandalism. Thanks. TheRedPenOfDoom only removed content because it was improperly sourced/cited. Feel free to add reliable sources and re-add the material. — JJJ (say hello) 00:19, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

OK. Thanks. Please take care of this page. Regards Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.56.35 (talk) 00:36, 29 November 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.56.35 (talk)

What is Circa? TheRedPenOfDoom used this below the photograph deleting name of Mukhles Chowdhury in Bangla. TheRedPenOfDoom continues all kind of works in the page. Please see. Regards Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.56.35 (talk) 00:42, 29 November 2012 (UTC) Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.56.35 (talk)

"circa" means "approximately"- it was unclear what the exact date the image was taken on, but what information there was indicated that it was taken in 2008, or somewhere near enough to not matter.
if you look at the top of the edit box, it says "Work submitted to Wikipedia can be edited, used and redistributed by other people at will." and articles will continue to be subject to edits, based on content from new and different reliable sources, improve grammar, apply the the manual of style, etc. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 00:53, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
If you (46.208.56.35/The Prekshit) feel that TheRedPenOfDoom is "intruding" on the article, perhaps you should read Wikipedia:Ownership of articles, which states All Wikipedia content is edited collaboratively. No one, no matter how skilled, or of how high standing in the community, has the right to act as though he or she is the owner of a particular article. The bottom line is that TheRedPenOfDoom is following Wikipedia policies when making his edits, thus making his edits valid and acceptable. — JJJ (say hello) 01:20, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. Yes, the photograph was taken in 2008. Best, Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.56.35 12:18, 29 November 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.56.35 (talk)

EGO engine

Hey. Just start the game and you can see the logo of the engine - EGO ;) I'm very good and well informated about this stuff.

Greetings! — Preceding unsigned comment added by BorisDG (talkcontribs) 16:04, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

Are you referring to my edit to EGO (game engine)? In any case, it doesn't matter how knowledgeable you are on a subject. Please read Wikipedia:No original research. Any content added must be supported by citations to secondary sources, not merely your own knowledge. — JJJ (say hello) 17:36, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

Far Cry 3

Dude I watched the whole INGAME credits. Ubisoft Reflections did not helped with the development of the game. Please, for example see this here too:

http://farcry.wikia.com/wiki/Far_Cry_3 (FYI I didn't edit this...)

You are super naive and believe of nothing. Just remove Ubisoft Reflections and add Ubisoft Red Storm.

I'm trying to help Wikipedia with real information. You are replacing it with fake one.

p.p. If you can't try the game yourself, just wait the full list of the people to be released in MobyGames.

p.p.2. You did the same mistake with the EGO engine for F1 Race Stars. :(((

Greetings. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BorisDG (talk) 15:36, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

If you can find a reliable source supporting your claim, you are welcome to change the information. Also, watching the whole INGAME credits constitutes original research, which is not accepted. And futhermore, http://farcry.wikia.com/wiki/Far_Cry_3 is a wiki, which is a user generated source, and again, not accepted. Please add a citation to a reliable secondary source. — JJJ (say hello) 23:14, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
actually, the credits of a piece are acceptable source for content related to the credits for a piece, unless specifically challenged by a reliable outside source. "A primary source may only be used on Wikipedia to make straightforward, descriptive statements of facts that can be verified by any educated person with access to the source but without further, specialized knowledge." anyone with access to the game can look at the credits and see that X is credited for Y. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 23:18, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
Except my point is that no citation has been added. — JJJ (say hello) 23:21, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
Watching the credits is meaningless without a reference. — JJJ (say hello) 23:23, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
correct, once it has been challenged, then the credits would need to be cited as the source. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 23:32, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
Exactly. — JJJ (say hello) 23:37, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

Marek Dochnal page

Hello, I am not sure if I have sent prevuous message properly. I would like to update Marek Dochnal site. The information is outdated and insulitng. I have documents from Polish prosecutor offfice dissimsing all the charges. Neither so called Orlengate nor any case with Mr Vogel has been proved. Mr Dochnal has recently won the case in The European Court of Human Rights against Poland and I would like to add this information to his page. Please help me how to do that. Thank you Best regards Aleksandra — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aleksandraaleksandra (talkcontribs) 11:12, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

If you plan on making major changes to the article, consider placing the {{In use}} template at the top of the page. After that, you should add the information that you want to add. It seems that your previous edits only removed content and did not add any, and that is why you were reverted. — JJJ (say hello) 14:26, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

hey sorry bout that changig this for my students so could u pleas mess with it untill the end of next week — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.231.83.41 (talk) 23:02, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

Big East football

Louisville and Rutgers were not tied going into final game of season. Rutgers was ahead. Louisville created the tie when they won. Then a 4 way tie was created over the weekend. The final BCS standings were used to break the tie. The team ranked highest in the standings, Louisville, received the BCS berth — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tarcanes92 (talkcontribs) 17:32, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

I reverted your edits because they were unsourced, and because they removed the {{Reflist}} template. I see that you have now added references. — JJJ (say hello) 21:54, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

Romantic Music?

I added a WHOLE NEW SECTION and I cited it and all, and then you just deleted all my hard work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ncd46 (talkcontribs) 00:54, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

Did you read my edit summary? — JJJ (say hello) 17:33, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

I'm sorry! Wikipedia only showed the "removing edits" part at first. Sorry for the trouble!

It's not a problem. You can re-add the content by looking at the Wikipedia pages that you used as references and cite the sources that they cite. — JJJ (say hello) 22:02, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for cleaning up my referencing error on contact print before I was able to do it. That was really quick! Michael Barera (talk) 17:57, 20 December 2012 (UTC)

incorrect article

I am new to Wikipedia, so apologize if this is the wrong place to leave a message, however there is an article although well written and the information about the subject is correct the Creator of the article is incorrect about it's information. I'm referring to the article "The Largest Flower in the world " The Rafflesia arnoldii is not the largest flower Amorphophallus sp. is technically considered the largest flower. Please look into this. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Jamie LaDawn (talk) 15:28, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but currently, there is no existing article named The Largest Flower in the world on the English Wikipedia. — JJJ (say hello) 20:43, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

I believe you are mistaken.

You seem to have removed a large edit I made regarding Monte Melkonian. The first one having to do with the ARF involvement. This is verified by nearly all of the sources included there, as well as the first sentence in the following paragraph "in the aftermath of this split Monte spent over two years underground, in Lebanon". This fact just confirms what I had said previously. Melkonian spend two years in the underground by ARF (Armenian Revolutionary Federation) protection after the split with ASALA in exchange for protection. You also deleted my explanation for cause of death and my source. The youtube link included an interview with one of the men That fought alongside Melkonian the day he died, and he confirms every single one of my claims and goes on in even further detail regarding how he died. You claim you delete unsourced things, yet you yourself deleted MY source as well as THE FACTS. Would you please explain? I am rather new to wiki, if i placed it in a wrong category than it is my mistake. Otherwise everything that I stated is absolutely verifiable and true, therefor should not be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by V66fender66v (talkcontribs) 19:33, 27 December 2012 (UTC)

The main reason I reverted your edits was because you removed the {{Reflist}} template, which caused a citation error. I also removed content that lacked a direct citation. — JJJ (say hello) 21:21, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
