The article’s overall status is (S), which means it’s a stub article that needs more content. The article does a great job using data to emphasize its points. I could clearly see how the number of queer politicians increased in the past few years and the inclusion of data made the article both digestible and really easy to read. I also love that there’s data from the past few years since it makes the article and content more relatable. Additionally, I love that you didn’t generalize LGBTQ polititians and love that you focused on each group individually. It often feels like people use gay and lesbian politicians to represent queer politicians in general, including queer people of color, and this focus often negates the different involvement of trans, pansexual, and queer people of color. The fact that you didn’t generalize everyone into one group, and the fact that you emphasized how gay and lesbian politicians often have more involvement than other identities made the article seem different and more in depth than other articles that group/generalize all queer politicians together into one identity. The only improvement I would consider is maybe including more examples that aren’t simply just data. The article is highly digestible but maybe through including more specific information about lgbtq+ candidates, such as the legislations they support, would make the article slightly easier to read. This article is definitely well-developed. --- Lauren G. Lgay124 (talk) 17:46, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
